every year its the same thing, will this exclusive be sold on sideshow? And then a few members post they are not going to be available and I wonder if those are people who are trying to scalp a figure because 9/10 times these do find their way on sideshow and then the secondary prices settle down.

D23 and I think there was also a battle damaged plastic mark 7. there may be a few others but they were probably just variations.

I think the most overhyped figure in the context of "oh an exclusive sideshow won't carry" was the Batman begins figure, was it first night out? Anyway all kinds of panic posts of itll sell out immediately, I must preorder from an ebay seller posts showed up. I think Sideshow ended up with enough figures they still had them months later, maybe a year.

Well, I got an email from TW... we regret to inform you that there are no updates as to when
the Stealth Suit Captain America will be in stock. The manufacturer is still shipping to us in batches
and we have no further updates as of now on when the next batch will arrive.

They just shipped their "end of September" batch out from TW and now they don't know
when the next "manufacturer batch" will be?

I'm out. I have politely told them this is ridiculous and I want a full refund asap.
I paid August 13th and paid express cost for shipping by end of August.

Whether I get my money back is now a whole other thing.

While I understand that I "need to be patient" as their email says, I paid a premium price to get this guy early when he was released and given
a specific ship time via email from them. They have blown past that and now can't even tell me when.

I'm not paying that much for an infinite "preorder", sorry.

Their customer service page says it can take 20-30 days for a refund via Paypal...
All they have to do is "issue refund" on the Paypal transaction, why would it need to possibly take that long?

IMO, you're being too nice to have even asked them for a refund. When they played me, I didn't ask for a refund nor did I go through paypal b/c of that note of the 20-30 days (even though I did pay with paypal). I went straight to my CC company, explained the situation and told them I had email proof, and I had my money back. No need to wait a month to get a refund. IMO, TW doesn't deserve the grace of giving them that extra time. I guarantee they put that 20-30 days so they can figure out where to get the money from. It's been known that they "rob Peter to pay Paul" a lot.

TW are so full of crap. I think we all assumed that the premium we were paying for was because someone had to go to the store and buy a bunch. Obviously they don't have the stock as the only supplier is Hot Toys and they're only sending it to third own store.

I was advised of the 20-30 days refund window, but got mine back within a week. I wouldn't be surprised if they do batch refunds once a month.

So how’s this working out for you?

I also am in the exact same boat now. I ordered on 8/13, and after them now telling me it would hopefully ship by the end of the month, I told them I’d like a refund if it doesn’t go out by 10/1. Then they replied with the link to refund/cancel but then when I explained I didn’t feel a return of store credit was right in this case for the same reasons you named, they told me it’ll be store credit if I do a refund because I ordered over 30 days ago. I mean, that’s true, but we did this with the belief that the items would ship when they said they would the first two times - August and then early September, or else I would have canceled earlier.

I’m inclined to open a PayPal dispute also but not sure how it’ll go since it is outside 30 days.

Lesson learned, either way. I think this is a no brained they should just give us our money back given the way this has played out.

Just file a charge back directly with your credit card if that's what you used with PayPal. Don't get scared of that 30 day store credit. They don't have the product and there's no such thing as second batch. Gather some documentation that this item has been released and when. If you didn't use a credit card, call PayPal directly and explain the situation. Don't file the dispute online. Do not mention the store credit. Just tell them the product has been released and they haven't been able to deliver anything.

I appreciate the insight, I’ll call my bank now (it was a credit/debit card through PayPal) and start there.

The whole situation sucks for you Dino Ranger. I hope you eventually get your money back and get this figure because it’s awesome. If Kit can get still some, I suggest getting it there. I was hesitant because I already have a modded Stealth version with a Man of Steel body and it still dwarfs this new version but I like both and display them differently (with different headsculpts and shields) so I’ll be keeping them both. Even though I was willing to pay the upcharge for this seemingly limited run, I do think they’ll be producing more in the future to be released in 2024 or something. Here are the things I think they’ll improve:

ADDS
- Glossy slipcover packaging. The current slipcover is more matte paper feeling.
- They’ll add more hands. This one only includes 5.

REMOVES
- They’ll remove the timepiece.
- They might remove the damaged Thanos gauntlet which is pretty awesome. I’ll probably regret selling it but I’m always for passing it on to someone who can appreciate it more. They might even make it a Sideshow Pre-order exclusive.

WILL NOT
- They WILL NOT include the Stealth Shield so don’t get your hopes up.
- They WILL NOT fix the traps.

MAYBE
- BIG MAYBE: They might put longer hair for the Steve Rogers headsculpt.
- They maybe release it in 2024 to commemorate 5 year anniversary of Endgame. Disclaimer: I realize Hot Toys don’t give a **** about anniversaries.
