Calling it now. Rrd Hulk is coming.

Some contrived, super limited, timed drop. Honestly, it's the perfect character for such a slap in the face.

I'm just here for the bloodbath.

The helmet design is kinda odd. The hose connects from the back of the helmet to the front of the helmet.

So the air supply is inside the back of the helmet helmet, but still needs a hose? :dunno
I'm guessing that the air supply is environmental and that tube thing on the back can act as an ambient air pump and rebreather.

This headsculpt is killer! I prefer the version 1 look though, so I'll be keeping that.

I'll see it eventually, but to me Captain America is Steve Rogers with the super soldier serum. Just like Peter Parker is Spiderman and Clark Kent is Superman. These are characters I've got a lot of childhood nostalgia for--the thing that drives my whole interest in this as opposed to watching, say, foreign and independent films, that would undoubtedly make for a better filmgoing experience. And it feels icky and wrong when they sub them out with various other characters, no matter what more modern comics tell us or what the script writers and producers feel makes for better stories.

What would you do to continue making Captain America movies? Cast a new actor as Steve Rogers?

I won't say someone is "wrong" for preferring one character over another in a hero role, but at the same time I'd be a total hypocrite if I didn't admit many of my favorite superheroes weren't the "originals". My favorite Flash is Wally West, technically the third Flash. Tim Drake is my favorite Robin, and he's the third one. My profile picture is Azrael, the latest in a long generational line of assassins.

And while I prefer Peter as Spider-Man, for instance, I really like Miles as well. I really liked Ben Reilly and Miguel as their own unique Spider-Man heroes too. Personally speaking, I really like Sam in the MCU ever since Winter Soldier and I have zero issues with him being a worthy successor to Steve.

I know all these characters will get the reboot treatment sooner or later (contracts, age, audience burnout, etc.), so I'm content to enjoy the ride for now. I had some of the most amazing on-screen moments with Steve Rogers as Captain America across multiple movies, and I'm sure we'll get him again one day, either in a return or a recast. But until then, Sam is a great hero in his own right and I've been a fan since his first appearance.

This figure looks fantastic. I actually like
It more than the suit he wore in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, that figure looked really nice but it had a little too much white in for me.

The sculpt is incredible and those wings look like the same awesome design from that FWS suit.

That said, the problem for me is my one figure per character rule and I still have a big soft spot for my slightly modified CW Falcon. Even though this new figure seems superior in just about every way, I’m not sure if I can part with my CW version …I am very conflicted on this one.

Well, best of luck...I'm not conflicted being in the "Falcon playing Cap" camp. E.g. I'll keep my TWS and CW Falcons.

Besides while the wings are epic for me the helmet is just too Antman.

Yeah well if I get this, that helmet will never leave the box. 😁

Also I would pose him near Cap and the Winter Soldier without the shield holding his guns from Civil War

I know most will not use the helmet, but it reminds me of Antman. Now, it's Antman as Cap. I know, grounded in reality and all that.

I never noticed it on the older Falcon costume, but the full costume with just the forearms exposed is weird.

It seems like it progressed from him just wearing a "backpack wingsuit" over a t-shirt, which made sense in Winter Soldier, because he was a civilian that pulled out his old military gear. But they just liked the silhouette of that so they never upgraded his costume after that.

that headsculpt looks alive
Maybe, but for some reason I don't like it. Not without goggles anyway. Maybe because, dunno, the round-ish head didn't translate well in 1/6 for me. Or the scowl. The forehead looks huge tho it's probably accurate. Do like the wings tho; but that's not a reason for me to invest in the fig.

They should just do TWS or CW Falcon 2.0. Lose the shield and all that so we can have those dual Steyrs. That scene in TWS when he flips them out is badass.

Tho, since I own the originals, I'd have to justify an upgrade. 😁

Yes, at some point. Or have him retire or die and move on. That's essentially what happens in comics. New writers reenvision characters and they change over time. Better to attempt to elevate characters like falcon into leaders and fan favorites than to transfer them to another identity in my opinion.

To Garlador's point, for me personally, this applies only to some of the more important characters with important and recognizable alter egos, however. With Robin there was a natural transition as he aged over time and evolved. With Flash, Barry Allen (or Garrick) were much less important than the persona, so even there it's not as problematic.

But we see in comics that when they try this with certain characters it doesn't work in the long run, and they keep bringing us back to the characters we know and identify.

Reboot the MCU in it's entirety. (never gonna happen) Recasting in the same universe doesn't work. Ever.

The entire Avengers line would need a complete recast.

Steve Rogers had a beginning and an end. They chose to end that character. Now they are living with they decision.

In the same camp as most, the helmet will not be used for display at all! Just wondering however, in all the trailers/promo pics I’ve seen of the movie, when the helmet is used, his sleeves also connect to the gauntlets making the suit completely sealed! Wonder what HT would’ve done or if people are gunna have to do a mod themselves that actually care or that want the accurate look?

I want to like this design, and every time I see it I think it's cool, but I much prefer the one from the TV show BEACAUSE it's different. We've had a bajillion Steve Rogers in blue suits. It was nice to see Sam get a unique appearance.
