Just checked and got a good laugh. OMFG Rudd deserves better. HT would be stupid not to just mod the Bucky sculpt they already have.

Artisan will be nice but I am actually kind of happy with my 1.0...if hot toys nails the new headsculpt I may probably get the 2.0

I'm not unhappy with my V1 - and I'm sure not happy to be spending a lot this time of year

For me it's an indulgence, like getting the SW Artisan. I'm not unhappy with my CW Wanda either.

Certain characters get my "most favored" treatment. Others I never bought at all, like the Guardians or TFAWS. Kept to my Doctor Strange V1, and so on. Sometimes there's a fig that comes along that is so good, like Baylan Skoll, I pick it up unplanned.

Let's see if they mess up Bucky when they already have a great sculpt.

The old one looks so small

Compared to the CA figures released at the same time he looked just fine (though his mechanical arm could have been bulkier), but I imagine the 2.0 will have to be bigger to match the more recent Caps.

The proportions alone will make all 1.0 owners want to throw their Buckys in the bin.

The old v new comparison shots do a fantastic job of smashing rose-tinted glasses and HT know it.

They’ve made their money off the 1.0s a long time ago so it’s in their best interest to now expose all their shortcomings to sell the upgraded figure.

I just hope they don't do to this what they did with John Wicks subsequent releases and take away his guns. The 1.0 had a looot of accessories and I hope this one does too

You can't outfit an assassin Bucky without most of what came with V1, at least.

I doubt they would considering just about all of his weapons are part of his outfit. One gun attached to his shoulder harness on his back, 3 hand guns on his thigh holsters, one knife on thigh, two on the back of his belt, plus the two grenade(?) shells on his belt.

He might not come with the weapon he used to flip Fury’s car over, though.

I can miss that one. I'd rather have the Gerber. Maybe some of those little round grenades. The bad part is staring at the preview that looks suspiciously like fiber hair. Which may be an Artisan which means dealing with the h3ll of Side show's waiting room.

Sadly that's true haha..but hot toys will never make the perfect version so they can do 3.0, 4.0 and many more.....

It's definitely gonna be rooted, but someone pointed out that the Jack Sparrow preview had the Artisan logo in the corner, and this one didn't... And with Beetlejuice (and to a lesser extent Chewbacca), there's precedent for wool-hair standard figures now, so who knows?

The longer it goes until the reveal, the more I'm convinced they rushed this preview together to boost sales for the Stealth Suit Cap. Not that we won't get Bucky eventually, but if it were ready to go, they'd already have shown it.

Always sell off the outdated and outgoing version, recoup some costs and upgrade imo. No reason to keep it unless it’s really meaningful to you.
