Thinking about it the 90 degree arm is kind of pointless. You can just bend the actual figure's arm to 90 and it essentially hides the joint. They should've given us one that goes past 45 degrees instead since I doubt the articulated arm can do that.
I wouldn't say pointless - because by comparison the articulated arm is going to look like a Hasbro Legends figure when bent - but I agree that sculpting the bent arm at a greater degree than what the articulated arm can achieve would have allowed it to also offer a function beyond aesthetics. That said, the best angle is going to be what's best suited for holding the rifles with two hands, and maybe 90° was the answer to that - we won't know until we have it.

It does get annoying that HT reuses the same TrueType bodies all the time. The proportions don't look that bad until you see the side-by-side and realize he's got no definition in the shoulders. Ah well. Nothing we say is gonna make them change their ways at this point.

YEP, the make up was only there on the posters, was supposed to have one more scene in the movie but that got cut. It ended up having a total screen time of 4 seconds in the movie. So I'm really confused by everyone making such a big fuss about it
It’s weird, acting like it was the default look..

My fav MCU character so a pickup for me is a given, even if I have to take the pain if I miss an Artisan and go to a reseller. IMO hair needs re-working - HT playing it safe not adding in more choppy layers but whatever. Not having the Gerber, again, is @ss :pfft: . But picked up a few in 1/6 last summer - not easy to find, can't remember what fig they were from. Still leaves the problem of the sheathe.

Just hate facing the SSC queue again.:eek::eek:

Suspect actual makeup could be smeared on for the greased look, tho that could stain too.
In theory less permanent than paint.

But anyway, glad to see this getting ripped on FB. Looks like I’m not needed there for this release. Granted, I’d also comment on the proportions, tailoring, outfit, but most only care for the overall head-sculpt.
:hammerhead:;)

Maybe. InArt does some nice sculpts, tho HT's IW Bucky is eerie like having a mini Bucky on the shelf it's so good.

So not worried about this one. Maybe I should be. Worst case I'll just switch some heads around.😁 Picked up a couple of spectacularly bad KOs along the way, can't be as awful as those.:lol

I just prefer their approach. It’d be better, overall. Not just in the head-sculpt.

And yeah, nice to have options. This is an aged Bucky likeness anyway.

Shoulder/chest is too narrow or that head is too big. I'm leaning towards the shoulders/chest being the issue since Hot Toys likes doing that.

We'll have to agree to disagree on InArt's approach 😁

Of course I'm curious about what they might do, but right now I'm mad at them anyway, for not sticking to 1/6 and evidently trying to get into the 1/10? 1/12? figure line, without resolving issues in the 1/6 arena. Or maybe they are just hedging their bets.

I pick up Hasbro, Mezco once in a while, but not getting into another scale or figure type.

Again, I’m not talking about QC, that’s not my #1 focus when discussing them but their approach in their figure design, and I bet they’d nail this figure in terms of proportions, realism, build quality (not QC), feel, etc.

It’d be closer to this vs what HT put out, imo.

When I look at HT’s offering, it’s just ugh, leaves sooooo much to be desired. It’s just typical grade Hot Toys I guess.

Well, you don't have to buy it. My opinion of HT - not just sculpts, but ability to scale costumes, engineering for figs like Iron Man, accessories and details depending on the fig is pretty positive. I'll never forget opening my first Bucky :lol

HT can be @ss like the CW Bucky release - pedestrian paint except for the arm, pants too short, etc. - even this release is re-hash without the Gerber knife - but I don't remember HT causing me the kind of SUFFERING InArt effectively manages. No point in putting out a great sculpt with uneven paint and I still need to touch up an Aragorn from that. Besides when InArt goes cheap like still waiting to see if they do anything about Legolas' cloaks. InArt seems to use good bodies but I haven't had a problem with HT bodies either.

So I don't know about "artistic" approach from InArt when Aragorn's tunic is too short and always will be.:monkey3 Tho InArt accessories are very nice. But so are HT's little weapons with working slides. The final difference being that HT is a well oiled machine that delivers products, even if it takes a while. With InArt spreading themselves out, and QC issues as well, dunno what product will come out or if Queen studios will just decide 1/6 is not viable and fold the company. Who knows.

they should have included this (pink) holster option too:

Yeah it's a shame he doesn't have the larger knife in the pink circle, it says he only has three knives...the only thing better than more accessories is being able to display all of those accessories on the character's body at once

Although the pink circle is where the figure also holsters one of his pistols so maybe they didn't have enough room there for a pistol and two knives

Yeah in the movie they were able to switch out holsters for specific scenes (as configured that holster shown above couldn't accommodate his pistol either). HT would have to give us the larger knife and another holster to replicate that scene. Not that I'd complain if they did. :lol

Just know that we all know you do too and we can assume you will say you will wait for inart or inart will do it better in every HT figure topic so you don’t have to say what we already know every time 😆.
I mean, I’m just so used to them now. They’ve set the bar so high (IMO) and now my eyes have been opened to imagine what a Disney licensed character would look like with the INART treatment 😱
