Well, you don't have to buy it. My opinion of HT - not just sculpts, but ability to scale costumes, engineering for figs like Iron Man, accessories and details depending on the fig is pretty positive. I'll never forget opening my first Bucky :lol

HT can be @ss like the CW Bucky release - pedestrian paint except for the arm, pants too short, etc. - even this release is re-hash without the Gerber knife - but I don't remember HT causing me the kind of SUFFERING InArt effectively manages. No point in putting out a great sculpt with uneven paint and I still need to touch up an Aragorn from that. Besides when InArt goes cheap like still waiting to see if they do anything about Legolas' cloaks. InArt seems to use good bodies but I haven't had a problem with HT bodies either.

So I don't know about "artistic" approach from InArt when Aragorn's tunic is too short and always will be.:monkey3 Tho InArt accessories are very nice. But so are HT's little weapons with working slides. The final difference being that HT is a well oiled machine that delivers products, even if it takes a while. With InArt spreading themselves out, and QC issues as well, dunno what product will come out or if Queen studios will just decide 1/6 is not viable and fold the company. Who knows.
You should know that when I make claims like the ones I do, I do take everything into consideration right? INART figures also have their fair share of shortcomings and inaccuracies, but so do Hot Toys…? Hope you don’t think that I excuse or am a fan of INART 100% in what they do.

Hot Toys are toy-ish in comparison and INART offers what a 1/6 figure should be (IMO!).

And I end up buying Hot Toys cause well, they make Disney characters that INART can’t make. My favorite IP of all time is Star Wars and the MCU Infinity Saga is near and dear to me too, so you see my dilemma?

He's Winter Soldier. He WILL shoot you!
“Even if it was better, stop talking about how INART would make me in my Hot Toys thread!”

I'd love a 2.0 but will have to stick with the original. This'll be over £400 shipped to the UK, just not worth it for me
Doesn’t the original have pleather?

You are in the UK, so flaking may not be an issue. I live in a mild climate too but appreciate the 2.0 is leather.

It's the scalpers that screw queues.
Also FOMO buyers.

I never flip figures for profit but I was guilty of FOMO buying. Was on the fence about Moon Knight 2.0 Artisan. Cool figure but didn’t like the show that much.

but the head sculpt was so stunning (always wanted a Poe Dameron), I decided to try my luck on the Sideshow queue system and got the figure. Now I feel obligated to also get Mr. Knight to display both unmasked and masked. :hammerhead:

I'd want this because I never got the original and this is the best representation of Bucky in the MCU. Only thing is, I'm not willing to buy another Cap. I wonder if this will scale properly with the EG version.

My two cents:

The "eye shadow" head & long rifle should have been included. In fact any & all accessories should have been included.

WHY (like the ROTS Anakin) is it that the same awful pleather is included here? The padded jerkin/tunic looks CHEAP. The little brads (simulating buttons) are likely glued on, again, cheap. I remember finding several of them had fallen off the first time I handled the original release.

This is supposed to be a "premium" release. They call it "Artisian" after all. The portrait with the rooted hair is certainly a step forward. Why go to all that effort only to feature the same dated and now-substandard material the previous version had.

Add to that making it a "queued" exclusive release and it just seems a bit of a slap. (still bummed I missed the Range Trooper)

I would have gone for this, settling on a final display look that echoed the poster ("make-up" head, long rifle) and been happy with getting a worthy 2.0 of one of the better MCU characters.

Ah well. Money saved. Looking forward to all the pics & vids when it hits.

Agreed it should’ve brought the makeup portrait and long rifle.

Would’ve been so cool.

Also, the top is “genuine leather” per HT.

There's a few Sideshow events in January and February which give $5 rewards, if anyone - like me - wants to top-up before tomorrow.
