No raccoon version?
No raccoon version?
While I don't necessarily agree, yes, I can empathize. I'm a huge fan of Iron Studios - not because nobody else ever did a better sculpt or paint (tho I thoroughly appreciate IS work) - they have a particular fluidness with their sculpts, will pull off some amazing engineering, generally very clean paint, and I am fond of their "reimagining" of a scene like the 1/4 Civil War pieces. You should know that when I make claims like the ones I do, I do take everything into consideration right? INART figures also have their fair share of shortcomings and inaccuracies, but so do Hot Toys…? Hope you don’t think that I excuse or am a fan of INART 100% in what they do.
Hot Toys are toy-ish in comparison and INART offers what a 1/6 figure should be (IMO!).
And I end up buying Hot Toys cause well, they make Disney characters that INART can’t make. My favorite IP of all time is Star Wars and the MCU Infinity Saga is near and dear to me too, so you see my dilemma?
Actually this right here stops me from going all out to get this one. If they do 2.0's it shouldn't be missing anything from previous releases and needs have improvements like the leather. Also with the rumored price point, it definitely should include these items! The "eye shadow" head & long rifle should have been included. In fact any & all accessories should have been included.
What?I'd love a 2.0 but will have to stick with the original. This'll be over £400 shipped to the UK, just not worth it for me
Thanks, and ouch. With the same 21% markup they gave Artisan Widow, that would put Winter Soldier in at $460.it retails for around 380 in HK
U guys do the SS math (im guessing ~470)
Just go in with low expectations when ordering in the SSC queue.I was looking forward to this but I think it's a pass for me. I'm honestly happy to skip the whole insanity of the ordering process.
Yo, put some respect on our 1/6 lord and saviour, Viper’s name. Without him and InArt, there wouldn’t be an Artisan line.Well, you don't have to buy it. My opinion of HT - not just sculpts, but ability to scale costumes, engineering for figs like Iron Man, accessories and details depending on the fig is pretty positive. I'll never forget opening my first Bucky
HT can be @ss like the CW Bucky release - pedestrian paint except for the arm, pants too short, etc. - even this release is re-hash without the Gerber knife - but I don't remember HT causing me the kind of SUFFERING InArt effectively manages. No point in putting out a great sculpt with uneven paint and I still need to touch up an Aragorn from that. Besides when InArt goes cheap like still waiting to see if they do anything about Legolas' cloaks. InArt seems to use good bodies but I haven't had a problem with HT bodies either.
So I don't know about "artistic" approach from InArt when Aragorn's tunic is too short and always will be. Tho InArt accessories are very nice. But so are HT's little weapons with working slides. The final difference being that HT is a well oiled machine that delivers products, even if it takes a while. With InArt spreading themselves out, and QC issues as well, dunno what product will come out or if Queen studios will just decide 1/6 is not viable and fold the company. Who knows.
And for anyone who misses it, put yourself on the waitlist right away. I see people getting waitlist conversions for other Artisan figures pretty frequently.Just go in with low expectations when ordering in the SSC queue.
If you get it, great.
If not, no big deal.
I guess this Viper doesn't check the length of his pants, 'coz if he did maybe he would have put another half inch on Aragorn's *&^% tunic; I keep tugging at it in the forlorn hope the material will stretch.Yo, put some respect on our 1/6 lord and saviour, Viper’s name. Without him and InArt, there wouldn’t be an Artisan line.

I dunno, I love old Bucky…Remember when the MCU was good? Life was better then- but, after the initial ‘Oh yay, a decent Bucky at last’ I’m finding that decent is about the best I can say about this.
Like others in the U.K., Artisans need to be mind blowing to justify the £500 they end up costing- and my mind ain’t blown, which I’m kind of sad about.
Nah, I still enjoy/love ’em, and feel satisfied for the most part. My Star Wars Prequels and OT displays I’m working on will end up being my favorite displays out of all of them once it’s all said and done. Even if I feel they’re incredibly toy-ish and below par from what I would want ideally at this point.Yeah, it's a dilemma. I guess if it were me I'd just skip it - plenty of Jack Sparrows I've skipped over the years. Or stick to helmeted Iron Mans which have some cool engineering if nothing else. No point in buying something you are not satisfied with.
I think you’ll be waiting a while. This is it for the foreseeable future (imo). This is a sub 300 dollar figure that will cost 450!
Missing the face paint head....why not include a sculpted head also? I hate rooted hair.
I wonder if HT long term plan is to re-release Artisian with sculpted hair? I will wait for another Winter Soldier down the line from that specific movie and hope they do sculpted.
