My guess is that they are really wanting to lean into the "high end / limited edition" market
with these artisan releases. I won't be surprised if the sculpted hair versions of these go by the wayside.

Could be wrong, but also would not shock me.

It wasn't true for BW. I had a regular and special on order until I decided to cancel the "regular" artisan. Hope if made someone happy.

Also, that particular order wasn't exactly planned. I freaked out - no pun intended - and somehow ended up with 2 BW and THEN had to decide what to do next.

Why would you be worried that you made a mistake? It's always better to get the Special Edition for the same cost.
If you ever decide to sell it there is more value in the SE version.

Yeah makes sense, I think I was just in a frenzy. I was worried that maybe instead of the shield that maybe the Collector's Edition had an extra gun or knife or something like that.
Luckily my turn on my second device came up a few minutes after my initial and I was able to thoroughly look at what is included in both. I was thinking that if there was a difference I could just cancel my first order and get the other version.

At any rate I am happy with my initial decision.

Now I just have to worry about what to do with my Infinity War Bucky
