BT-1 is due for delivery tomorrow from OneSixthKit.
His partner, 0-0-0, was delivered in May from Sideshow.
When Sideshow sent 0-0-0 FedEx emailed me with an invoice to pay for him, saying that I had to pay to facilitate delivery.
From that it appeared they were no longer billing me automatically from my account, so to avoid not getting the parcel I paid the invoice (which also included their fee).
The delivery arrived and a week or so later they billed me automatically for the same delivery (this time without the admin fee).
I contacted them numerous times by email and through their reporting system, but they completely ignored every attempt to get through to them. In the end I gave up and wrote it off. FedEx failed to charge anything for the Sideshow Pale Rider delivery so I wasn't out of pocket as such. However, their refusal to communicate creates the feeling you're dealing in vain with a Kafkaesque bureaucracy.
This morning I was checking my credit card account online, and at the top there was a FedEx entry. What were they charging for? As my confusion subsided I realised it wasn't a charge but a credit. Five months after the error they'd refunded the double payment for 0-0-0, still without any communication.
It's weird that it coincided with the despatch and imminent arrival of BT-1.
