Genuinely curious question:

I'm surprised to hear these common criticism of the film considering how MCU films usually are. They are rarely serious or interesting to be honest. Typically superficial action, dialogue, plot, etc. Is it more goofy than Shang-Chi (with it's silly plot, trevor, dragons, etc.) or Ragnarok (undermining every serious moment with a joke)?

I thought the film succeeded at what it was trying to do which I would describe as wackiness from the multiverse, jokes, cool action, some seriously wild actions from dr. strange, a little scary, and to tell an emotional story. You've got your classic generic CGI action sequence in the beginning.

Idk, what was expected that wasn't there?
Excellent points. Not getting this Wanda, but it’s the one to have.

Watched it, like it. Will be getting this Wanda…Olsen should get an Oscar nomination for this…
Would be nice but doubt she will get a nomination for this. I am floored she has never been nominated - she is amazing in Martha Marcy May Marlene and also terrific in Wind River.

Agreed, i thought his stamp came through fairly strong.
The second the eyeball came out of the monster at the start I was “yes please and thank you”.

Sidenote: I really have to watch Drag Me To Hell again. I remember that being a lot of fun. I’m shocked that was PG-13 at the cinema. It was only on home video when it became unrated.

Saw it last night. Yep, definitely a Raimi movie lol.
I’ll be sticking to the WV Scarlet Witch because I prefer the cleaner look and… (spoiler)

I want her on my hero shelf, though I am tempted by this for the villains shelf too!

I definitely want a second Wanda to go with my Wandavision version, but this one is too similar to that, and since Wanda appears to be pretty villainous post-Wandavision, I'd prefer a figure that leans into the horror elements. The "Barefoot, Mom Jeans" version, while I guess it's a longshot for Hot Toys to make, does have one thing going for it in my opinion: the vertical bloody scar that bisects her face is such a striking and original design element that (maybe) Hot Toys would give some thought to producing it. Moving forward in the MCU we'll always have new Wandas with red capes and red and black costumes, but we'll never see Wanda looking anything remotely like this evil, scarred version again. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Saw this yesterday; easy, easy decision to go with this version, far more memorable as far as the various interpretations we've gotten go. Olsen really went all in on going unhinged with the character and it left a lasting impression I'd not previously gotten from Wanda. The orchard scene was great.

Seems another week since Doctor Strange was fully revealed. Still no Wanda... I wonder what extra things they are changing or adding since the film was released that wasn't originally planned? Hopefully they are changing the head sculpt to rooted hair! ;)

This really needs an angry facial expression. The usual placid/determined stare won't cut it with this one. The headsculpt really needs to be differentiated from the Wandavision version.

This version is the one Wanda figure that could become a grail piece because i have a feeling the next time we see her in a film or show for the MCU she will look completely different and comparing all her previous MCU outfits, this one look could be a one time only ensemble…a one and done costume

Finally saw the movie. Feel like this figure is one they’ll have to keep under wraps for a while still as I don’t know how they can reveal it and its accessories without spoiling the film. Not sure yet if I’d want to stick with the Wandavision figure or switch to this one - depends how she looks and what she comes with!
