Well I love everything but the sculpted hair. Though I think it looks ok in that last shot...

Even if the likeness is only halfway there, I doubt any of us are going to pass on a high-end Ripley figure. Which is both depressing and sobering.

ANH Star Wars fans did the same with almost every single figure. Really, HT's strike-rate is pretty average considering the resources they've got at their disposal.

True. I can complain all I want but in the end I know I will at least be ordering one of each ( Alien and Ripley with Powerloader ) because I know its going to be the only time HT will do her and also HT tend to go up in price especially when they are a one and done deal like she will most likely be.

I mean, I am still kicking myself for not getting the Chris Redfield HT from RE 5 when he came out initially and now to get a complete one in box near mint is damn near impossible or too damn expensive.

If I don't buy the likeness, I don't buy the figure. I passed on ANH Obi-Wan 'cause I just don't see Guinness there -- even though it's a terrific sculpt... of some old guy.

The latest Ripley photos look decent enough for me to buy, however. I just hope they settle on a sculpt and sell them already!

Thanks for posting those, Sabrina. I've already made my peace with the sculpted hair but there isn't enough of a Sigourney likeness there at the moment.

I'm just hoping HT will make tweaks along the way. Worse comes to worst, I'll pick it up during a sale.

Cat looks extremely stylized and the likeness is still rather weak, but overall it looks like a nice package.

Curious that they reused the Alien Warrior 2.0 base (which itself was reused from the Big Chap). Even though these are coming out, you can still Hot Toys isn't putting in their best effort.

Hmm. Yeah, true. Though you'd have to have been very brave to mess around with the very stiff, highly gelled looking rooted hair that they had on her before this new sculpt.

Looking at these new shots more closely it seems like another new sculpt. This means they've done four of them and still can't get it right. Second one remains my favorite, with or without rooted hair.
