No it's not a bad example. Though she is seven years older in Aliens, she still has the same jawline, eyes, brows, mouth. Pretty much everything is accurate. If the actress has obviously approved of the sculpt, who would know if anyone but Sigourney Weaver.

I can think of a few reasons why an actor might approve a likeness that actually doesn't hit the mark

1) Actor is not aware of how good it actually can be - doesn't follow the toy industry - so just says ''yeah sure, good enough''
2) Actor is embarrassed to say when something isn't right, doesn't want to criticise
3) Actor wants an idealised sculpt that flatters them rather than depicts how they in fact are/were

Also, if we were to say ''Actor approved sculpt, actor knows their own likeness better than anyone, therefore sculpt has good likeness'' then there can be no bad officially licensed sculpts. And that's clearly not the case.

I sometimes get the feeling one or two people in this thread are a bit on the fence about the head sculpt. It's so hard to tell how they really feel, tho.

Yes
