So easy to bait. It has a grey background which actually makes colors pop and appear more accurate. Sideshow removed the background and accessories. Technically it's not the same picture for just those reasons.
Some of you are ridiculously passionate over something that amounts to absolutely nothing. Well, wasted money, especially for you buyers who are purchasing it though, by your account, it's subpar and you hate it.

What? I'm not buying it but even if I was, people have been waiting for this since 2014 FFS. One single ****ing figure. NECA have released umpteen Ripleys and many more human characters besides in the same timeframe - far as I know they have to go through the same approvals process as HT - ''Pissing and moaning'' - sorry but **** off with that accusation. Insofar as complaints about something like this can be - it's entirely justified. Hot Toys are treating this license like absolute ***t. They clearly couldn't give less ***ks and probably have no intention of making anything else, which makes it very difficult to feel any optimism or excitement about the line

technically you viciously attacked a fellow member over nothing, then continued saying lies and offensive things about people here in general, and you don't even feel guilty in the end. rough morning?

Let you have the last word P. Don't need to go down another one of your analytical list.
hmmm, speaking about analysis. shouldn't the last word be your apology to Agromenauer? wouldn't it make you feel better? want to talk how plastic toys force you to express rage towards live people?

Well, every year there's a new Star Wars movie and Hot Toys needs to be quick before the focus shifts to a newer movie. Alien is almost 40 years old, so they probably think we can wait... and they're probably right. The Ripley figure will sell equally if it comes out today or next year, a character from Rogue One won't. Might seem ruthless, but it's a business. Though we don't like it.

:exactly:

Well, judging by the way they are giving some of the TFA figures away, I think HT will quickly re-appraise their focus in action figure releases...

Don't say that. I'm the same age as the movie and you make me feel old.

I think they have learned not to make so many of the Star Wars and Marvel figures after the Age of Ultron and TFA figures were waaaay overproduced. Most of the Civil War and Rogue One stuff has already sold out, and many sold out before release. I think "don't overproduce these figures" is the lesson Hot Toys learned, not "we should be making more figures from other licenses."

Also, as someone who's been playing video games for the past 30+ years, I don't mind the wait for these figures. Even the longest wait is still shorter than the typical time between when a video game company announces and releases a game. Hell, the new Zelda game that just came out was first announced back in 2013.
