I think so. Maybe they are struggling with Jonesy's likeness. Are we getting close to a Hulkbuster length delay here?

With NECA when you tweet Randy a question he can get back to you really quick!! With Hot Toys they give you this….

I'd like to just cancel and move my NRD to K-2SO but I had also used that $50 coupon they sent out last month on her so they'll probably tell me I'm SOL unless I want to forfeit that.

Me too. We are 2 peas in a pod. Just hope we don't get blown out of the air lock.

I just tried SS and was shot down immediately. I really would've used that $50 toward K-2SO or the Gunner had they not put her on the 'Coming Soon' releases. I think she was put in that picture by accident. :slap

Let's just face facts guys, this is very much dead.

If they're pushing this into next year, they will push it again into the following year and so-on. Hot Toys don't give the slightest of *****s about those who pre-ordered and are sincerely wishing all of us would cancel them. But hell, even then they don't care because all they have to do is pretend it never existed. Which is working so far.

I wish they'd just come out and say it's dead but they never will. Have they ever actually canceled something they put up for PO?

Or he'll block you for posting a dissenting opinion. Dude handles his company's Twitter like a personal account.

Judging by the number of people still asking for the original Batmobile, I doubt it. They just brush it away and hope people forget about it, only with this one they have rammed it in our faces for 3 years and taken it away again. I think the attitude of the company has genuinely put me off future purchases from them, certainly no more pre-orders.

Ripley is not a diffficult figure if they just went with the proto. There's no engineering or anything ridiculous holding them back. Yes nitpicks are going to happen but the prototype was mostly fine otherwise we wouldn't be here talking about how we want this figure and bashing them for these delays. That's what makes this confounding. It's clear they struggle with most female sculpts (Zombie ScarJo mostly) but they seemed to have this one looking pretty good. I think they just assumed no one cared so they moved on to other stuff.

They aren't canceling this. I'm sure the reason they are pumping out other figures before Ripley is that those new figures have a collector's appeal whose lifespan is uncertain; not time-tested. (not including Star Wars, obviously) They need to push those figures while the theatrical hype is still fresh, for maximum $$$... ALIEN has been around since 1979, and its popularity will never die. The Marvel films, on the other hand, don't have that same market reliability over time. I know many collectors who were going absolutely insane with enthusiasm for the Ironman suits, now they've cooled off of them. HT can afford to put Ripley WAY on the back burner while they milk the currently popular franchises. That's capitalism for you...

I decided to cancel my SS order I paid for in full back on May 9th, 2016. The money can be put to use right now and if and when the figure actually releases, I'll more than likely want to get it direct from HK anyway instead of waiting another month or two for SS to get it in stock. This wait just got to be too ridiculous, especially considering it looks like the figure has been finished and ready to go for quite some time now. If HT would've made some attempt at an update a couple of months ago, similar to what they did with their precious WW figure, then I may have stayed along for the ride.
