I might just break down and overpay for her on eBay one of these days. She can be had for around $360, which while high I’m willing to pay before she gets too much more than that. Thing is this is my favorite look for her too. I don’t care as much for the Aliens look.

I love this figure. If you don't have a Xenomorph Alien figure, you are definitely going to be in search of one, once she arrives. Just the two of them make for a fantastic display.

Quick shot of an early work in progress, after being inspired to try customising by the excellent customs in this thread. The power loader should be arriving tomorrow, after an unexpected eBay win, so pretty excited

Awesome what's your recipe?
Thanks

I really wish I would have gotten this figure when it was available. Stupid that I didn?t.

yes she was really unpopular when released and went on discounts & clearance for a while but i guess like any HT their value goes up when supplies goes down.

Thanks for the positive comments guys, I appreciate it, as it was a real learning process (first try customising, and had a few moments where I thought I had ruined it, including removing one of her eyes with 99% Isopropyl alcohol).

In regards to the comment about body and recipe; It's a wonder woman body; neck peg needed removed and trimmed along with the actual seamless material to remove giraffe neck (could, and probably will go further). Also had to glue the seamless skin at her back to the bum as this body wants to slump when the bodice is removed, without this tension. Finally filed down the breasts. I was looking at Jiaou doll wheaten originally, but could not find a known colour comparison. It's also an Alien ripley head (just modded the hair via cut\fold\glue and painted the trademark bruises on both sides of her face). Pluse rifle sling and grenade belt were just material bought off eBay, and sewn to hold grenades (with the same type of elastic material found of the original aliens harness). Bought a white t-shirt off eBay and cut\sewed the neck seam to be more to scale. Repainted the stock boots to the correct colour, removing some of the overdone grey wash (they looked about the most plastic finish I have ever seen on a hot toy). Then dirtied everything up.

I will probaby dye the trousers as I really don't like the baby blue (I prefer the colour grade on the BluRay), and try to redo the t-shirt with some kind of thin wash to get a better finish.

In an unexpected turn of events just scored this for a decent price on eBay. The seller had it starting at $189. I put in an offer for $230, he countered at $240 and I accepted. All said and done it’s going to be about $266 after shipping and taxes, but seems like a decent price. I think that’s close to what she went up for originally at retail.

I love the Dallas and Kane spacesuits too... but I hate that they got made during HT's experimental phase of using rubber/plastic instead of actual soft goods and material.

Those spacesuits could have been so cool in cut-and-sew.

I would have much preferred proper fabric too, instead of the moulded rubber we got, so flexibility would have been a lot better. Also, I suspect the reason we never got a Lambert was that HT obviously didn't want to pay for new tooling, as her suit was smaller. A smaller fabric suit could have been made easily.

Yeah I came really close to buying the Kane one a few years ago, but after watching some reviews decided they looked a little too plastic and unconvincing up close. Plus the fact they didn't seem nearly as bulky as they should be.

I remember seeing pics of a custom fabric suit once, and thought it looked incredible.

I think a lot would depend if Disney saw a viable future in Alien, now that they own Fox.

If they would maybe, just maybe, decide to revisit that Blomkamp Aliens sequel idea that was swirled around, then I'd be hyped as can be. Ridley is clearly more interested in Alien's past. Let someone take on the future.

I still think we will see the suits done by Mezco. Once they have one down they can do them in different colors. Not 1/6 (or even my thing), but I do feel we will see tailored versions of the suits in the future.
