With all the SS talk, here's mine for comparative purposes to the Hot Toys. Agree the Hot Toys helmet looks a bit bobble head. Not sure I'll double dip on this one.
I always find these kinds of figures hard to photograph. This is the most attention my Sideshow TIE Pilot's had in years. I spent a lot of time searching for his spare hands. They weren't in the Star Wars spares drawer, or any of the other drawers. Finally found them still in the box, where they've spent the last nine years.
The body's still strong, but doesn't feel as natural as a more recent Hot Toys. The boots, while a great sculpt, are a hindrance to posing when trying to keep his feet flat.
The Hot Toys' boots don't look as realistic, but posing ought to be easier.
I must be in the minority, but the HT helmet looks perfect. Tie pilot helmets were huge and the actors were pretty short, so they definitely had that bobblehead look in the film.
