^^dope!

if you havent read i recommend the newer strange run written by Jason Aaron, its really really good and i so want to see this fig posed with huge axe and bow and arrows.

i.e.-

YMMV, tho I normally like Aaron's work I really hated his run on Strange:

-He ignored almost the entire history of the character and how magic works in the MCU and instead made up the idea that Strange has to eat bizarre foods to do magic (in addition to the idea that he builds up some "magical debt" when he casts spells); no more Vishanti, etc.
-Terrible supporting characters (really just singular I guess).
-Youthened a character who really should be older (e.g., his las surgical patient was just a couple years ago, so he completely foreshortened the time between the accident and Strange becoming Sorcerer Supreme).

I could see enjoying his run if you weren't already familiar with/invested in the character, but he jettisoned all the cool stuff about the character to simplify. For me, at least, it's another example of Marvel moving in the wrong direction in the comics. I don't get why they'd have success with a character in the movies and completely screw up the same character in the comics (Cap, Iron Man and Dr. Strange all seem to fit this pattern - at least Guardians actually seemed to capitalize on the movies).

I'm relieve that Aaron is gone from the book (has been for a few issues now) - hoping the stuff he did gets retconned/reversed quickly and the classic Dr. Strange returns.

On a brighter note, the figure looks completely amazing - thrilled to get such a great representation of a favorite character! The tailoring, likeness and accessories all seem better than I could hope for.

For what it's worth I agree. Aaron's run was... Not great. When someone is looking to read Strange for the first time I'll tell them to check out Triumph and Torment or The Oath. If they have access to it Doctor Strange Sorcerer Supreme is a great series. Earlier runs than that until recently werent all that easy to find, but I loved Vol II. That's another great one...

For the select few who currently own this bad boy, are the rumors that this figure has loose knee pegs true??? :panic:

They're easily manipulated, however I wouldn't call them "loose", as akin to a defect. They're not popping out or anything. Lol.

Sweet pic bro. Makes me want mine to be shipped out even sooner. What kind of camera do you use?

Got Dr Strange this morning and what a figure. I have not had this much fun with a figure for ages. Well done HT for an outstanding job. I'll share some pics soon.

I got mine from HK on Monday and its my favorite HT figure so far this year. An amazing likeness of Cumberbatch, a highly detailed costume and lots of accessories. It took me awhile to figure out how to keep the orange circular force things in place, they kept falling off. The only accessory I won't display with the figure are the sling rings- they have a tendency to fall off. Since I don't have the figure in a closed case, I can just imagine them falling off and getting sucked up in the vacuum cleaner
on cleaning day.IMG_0650.JPGIMG_0649.JPGIMG_0651.JPG

I just don't know why they didn't give us 2 'booger flicking' hands.

That attack would be fatal 60% of the time, every time.
