It probably didn't sell well because it wasn't only available at Sideshow for collectors out of Asia. I've seen it on several Australian websites and I imagine it was available in Europe as well. Therefore people didn't have to rely on Sideshow to pick this figure up.

I was hoping Starboost was going to be eligible. Kicking myself that I missed a couple of sales for this figure locally.

Man now that this has 20% off ... do I dare get it to pair with my Iron Patriot? Must resist.

This code settled it for me. He wasn't in the cards despite me really wanting one, but couldn't resist the discount. Ordered. Love that Cheadle sculpt.

I resisted, but then again I have IP and the Mk1, which I think better represents the character. Have to ask yourself how much you really need the figure in your collection, because you could always save that $$ for something you must have later on. I'm starting to run out of room so I'm definitely weighing things more closely now, otherwise I'll have shelves stuffed with museum posed figures crowded together and to me, that doesn't look quite as appealing. :wink1:

I'm in the same boat but I will have to pass. I'll wait for CW maybe he'll have a different suit. Spook is also coming soon & might come even cheaper.

great picture! :clap I do like the stand with the Iron Man 3 version of War Machine best, but I don't think it has a head sculpt of Rhodey. The Iron Man 3 stand for War Machine would also match the Silver Centurion with the stand it comes with better. Again, great pic, thanks for sharing.

thank you. that is the one thing this bad boy is missing is the Rhoddy Head sculpt. I like the IM3 version a little better because of the matte finish he has where the new one looks glossy. Thanks again man!

Yea, I like the Avengers version because of the head sculpt and I am not a fan of the red outline around the arc reactor and eyes on the IM3 version (but in of itself that would not keep me from getting it). But, I can't decide which paint scheme I like better, they both look good in their own way. I like both the lighter matte finish as well as the darker glossy look. If I get one, out of the two Mk2's it will definitely be the Avengers version because of the Rhodey head sculpt, but I do worry the that Avengers version may look too dark, (almost black?) under some lighting conditions.

Anyway I liked seeing your pick of your IM3 WM with Silver Centurion. If anyone else has a picture of the Avengers version with Silver Centurion I would love to see it. If I pick up WM, I will be pairing these guys together on my shelf in kind of an homage to Iron Man Comics in the late 80s :)

So I decided to use the 20% off coupon and order this. I think it looks great but I was wondering if should have waited in case they do a diecast MkI (and if so, when?) or if there would be a MkIII War Machine in Captain America 3 I might like better. But in the end I decided just to go with this one as the best available War Machine there is at the moment, especially with 20% off. I didn't want to risk losing out on this now and have to pay over the top after market prices for one later. I looked at the Mk 1 on Ebay and I would have settled for a plastic version of the Mk1 if I could have picked one up at a reasonable price, but all the ones all saw were just as expensive as the diecast now (especially with my coupon). I think in the end I am getting a beautiful figure in the WM MkII and I plan to pose him next to the Silver Centurion which just arrived in the mail today.

Wise choice! It's an attractive figure, no discussion needed.

Rumor is that he will be a bulkier, tank armor, which sounds pretty cool.

That does sound really cool and would be what I would want for WM, but I decided I should go with the MkII because its a beautiful and faithful representation of the character and I would hate to miss out on it waiting for what might or might not be available later.

I want a WM MK II but he's basically a repaint of the Iron Patriot, which I already have; maybe I'd do better waiting for a possible update to the armor in Cap III.

I'm waiting for an update to the armor as well. I'll buy the AoU if I can get it on discount but having Iron Patriot make me balk at spending over $300 on the "same figure". An update to a bulkier armor will be an instant purchase.

It is discounted now 20% off with code IRON15. I am in the same boat as you. I am very tempted to pull the trigger at this price. Its less then I paid for IP shipped

Technically he is 24% off when you take into account the rewards points ...honestly it's really a great deal at $258.40 plus shipping (and tax)

Just got this guy today and quite honestly he's amazing. I don't know what it is about the War Machine but it's rapidly becoming one of my favorite pieces in the collection. It's just bad *** all around.

The Cheadle sculpt puts it over the top for me. Love the matte charcoal color scheme too. Much improved vs the prior edition.
