Looks like HTs used the actual suit as reference shots rather than on screen sources.
Hot Toys' figure doesn't reproduce all the spots on the suit's thighs, though. There are fewer of them and they look more faded. Or it's the rougher texture on the figure that helps them blend. Either way I like it more. 😁 Normally I'm a stickler for accuracy, but with this particular design... eh, they can spruce it up a bit.

Yeah the spots are definitely more vivid on the actual suit but I still think the HT figure is closer to the actual suit rather than how Feral appears on screen. Colours much stronger on the figure, like the actual suit. On screen it's much darker and as you say, appears much less detailed.

this has been on PO forever in HK, no matter how often I revisit this I can't seem to bring myself to pay this price. I'll consider picking up on a sale in the future.

Seems like HT has priority for any figures from Marvel/DC (Especially Artisan edition) but not this guy, eh? Next year it is then.
Honestly, the price for this was so unreasonable at first, but seeing HT recent 2.0/3.0/20.0 (with Barbie hair) releases made me think it was quite fair now.

Maybe its got something to do with it being a larger figure? and one with more intricate details. They have to sculpt the body too

Of course, Feral was a figure with an all-new body + scuplt. Plus it's a one-timer except they do a battle-damage/ bear blood ver in Toyfair or something. It yielded them less profit also. Not to mention Feral's design was so different from the rest it felt like a niche certain fans might chose not add him into their collection, etc.

Man of Hot Collectibles: "The [Feral] Predator also is coming very, very soon, as soon as next week, again not sure if it's going to be before the end of the year..."

I'm still on the fence whether he or his source are genuine, so I'm posting what he says as a record to check if the things he reports happen, or at least happen close to when he says they will.
Oh yes of course, I'm curious too. Hopefully it is true but knowing HT's usual schedules I predicted March.
