I'd still be worried about fudging up the suit in those areas. Would probably display him standing in front of the glider if I got him.
yeah both poses will probably cause problems down the line. I'd still probably put him on the glider with maybe a little bend at the knees. Nothing too deep.
This suit material looks like Mysterio’s suit material - which is very flexible and very forgiving. Dude just ain’t gonna look right if he’s not hunched deep on the glider.

Forgiving? Whats that like an extra week of no peeling? :lol

I wanna say I've seen some no less severe creasing on Mysterio as well and mine doesn't seem like it'd be any more resilient than any other materials. Especially with its individual textured sections with those grooves.

I know the deep crouched pose, with a hand on the front of the glider is the more iconic one, but its the usual pose vs longevity discussion. I'd rather have it last a little longer in a more forgiving pose than pushing it to the brink. Everyone's got a different madness to their method though.

I ordered this and canceled my previous Goblin order at the loss of the NRD. This is the one I wanted, and shame on me for letting Hot Toys bait me with the first release.

I know some think the new waitlisting of items during preorder is a ploy, but no company wants to sit on inventory they have to regularly discount so deeply. Too many collectors now have the mentality of grabbing things at 10% off (or more) as soon as it hits stock. Keep in mind that the overage orders are based on a percentage of preorders. If preorders have nosedived, so has the extra stock levels. Even if Sideshow has only modestly changed their formula to reduce extra stock, that combined with vastly fewer preorders could equal some very short runs of some upcoming figures. People should be cautious about what they are willing to miss out on.

I just can't understand the Facebook fanboys who lash out at the mere suggestion of separating the suit at the hips when the design allows for it.

Hot Toys used to innovate in situations like these, but they've gotten complacent in the last few years -- as have their customers, which makes no sense since the prices are skyrocketing.

As long as the material isn’t peeling or tearing (which Mysterio doesn’t), what’s the harm of a little creasing in the arm and knee pits of a costume when that’s going to look perfectly natural anyhow? I’ve left Mysterio with arms and knees bent for weeks or months on end and the suit hasn’t peeled, cracked or torn.

I had a bunch of points, so it took the pain away a bit, but man, I cannot be swinging for $400 figures anymore. This is the LAST ONE!!!
The points dont carry over year after year anymore (at sideshow) anyway so that helps.

I see so many posts on here of people canceling and losing NRD, but I dont understand why anyone preorders these anymore in the first place.

The odd thing is, figures I havent preordered by the time they release I feel like I dont really need them anyway. Its 180 degrees from me 10 or 15 years ago.
