Question for all the Hot Toys collectors out there:
How readily available are Hot Toys figures nowadays once they are released?
It's been years since I last bought a HT figure upon release. I know the Artisan figures are hard to get. But what about standard releases like this? Is it recommended to preoder or can I just wait see?

What are your experiences in recent times?

I can answer that for Hong Kong only. First off, for Artisan there’s no chance to get it if you didn’t preorder it (I mean through Hot Toys, you can of course go to a reseller). As for standard figures - it’s really down to chance. Most recently what’s been in the Hot Toys shops are TDK Rises Armory, Flash Batman & Batcycle set, Flash Batcycle on its own. Not quite as recent are Starkiller, Palpatine, Baylan Skoll, Bespin Luke DX, Obi Wan show Obi Wan. Even older figures - Black Adam, The Batman 2022 Deluxe with Batsignal (I’m surprised this hasn’t sold out yet). And then there’s a few that have popped up once or twice and quickly bought and not seen again - Batman 1989 2.0 Deluxe, Darth Vader ROTJ - I got lucky and picked this up. Then I’ve seen the most random ones that were released 5+ years ago in one of their shops - R2D2, and the black droid from the Star Wars sequels which were recalled from Sideshow.

In a nutshell, most of the very popular figures won’t have extra stock on release. Some newly released figures will have stock and appear randomly because they move around inventory from their regional locations, their staff won’t announce this, you’ll only know what’s there if you visit their shops.

To answer your question, it depends how badly you want it, if not that much then wait.
