It’s just too bad Hot Toys is allergic to The Bad Batch. Feels like they had to be dragged kicking and screaming across the finish line with just Clone Force 99.

I think we’re very lucky to get a completed squad for an animated series. It seems their true allergy is Andor and the OT.

As I said in my follow up, I am grateful they completed the team. I was saying they dragged out Crosshair then Tech and Wrecker for a long time. So long that all the other cool Clones in the show that could’ve been made probably won’t.

And to be fair - aside from being great Clone characters with unique designs - CF99 is not just in one series which probably helped to get them all made. These were probably in the works in some capacity since The Clone Wars Season 7 which Hot Toys went all in on.

They still make OT figures and more will come. But they have to balance that out with new media. As for Andor, that couldn’t really have been helped and I don’t hold it against Hot Toys. They’re not the only ones that didn’t support the series with much or any tie-in merch.

Licensees don’t get a lot of material to go on. The show probably didn’t seem very toyetic. They couldn’t have known how good it would be. It was a risk they didn’t want to take. It takes time to make anything and they missed the timing as did other brands. If they don’t make anything for Andor Season 2 though, that’s on them.

@Chainedstream is saying (facetiously to a degree or not) that they made Fox because they made a Phase 1 Commander helmet for TCW Obi-Wan.

The proto sculpts are different but TCW Obi-Wan will probably get the Fox downgrade.

I don’t know if that actually contributed to the decision or if it’s just a weird power play over Sideshow or something. But Fox is arguably more interesting than the AOTC P1 Officers.

Correct. Never heard of the word before, so had to look it up. Was not disappointed.

God I love that helmet and it irritates me that they've been downgrading it.

This went up on May 4th!

That is less than 4 months, while the last batch of the AoTC figures, Wrecker, Sideous and Tech are still available.

This guy might go the way of the Geonosis B1 Battle Droid and AoTC Clone Trooper.

Captain Vaughn is pretty cheap in certain places I've seen, I'm not worrying about this one selling out soon despite this warning bull*hit, but AOTC shiny clone is a completely different scenario though.

I think this is going to be the norm going forward. Vaughn like Jessie, Hunter, and few of those last 2022 and early 2023 releases, were apart of the over produced figures.

Not saying Fox will be as rare as the AOTC Clone, but I'm definitely going to be more careful going forward with these figures.

Here's hoping that since this sold through, they'll do the phase 2 version that people actually wanted now.

Blows my mind they went this direction, a Phase 1 Rex or Cody makes sense, not Fox.

I reckon they put a closing date on any item that hasn’t moved X number of units. I like this version. The Phase 2 versions is way cool, but since this sold kinda slow, I’d be surprised to get it.
