Think the after market for this will blow up too a months down the line.

It's so refreshing to see a company with a passion, I'd really like to see them take a crack at classic movies. I remember the hype around molecule8 Wonka then Vijay did what he did.

I'm excited for the future of Inart and will be 100% supporting them if the rest of the Jokers turn out this good.

So, someone on FB is saying this isn't released and that only Youtubers and reviewers are getting it. Is that true? As far as I was aware, it was batch 1 so probably some Youtubers and reviewers, but also some regular customer up to their stock capability. Can anyone shed some light on their release details?

From what we were told it's being released to Chinese collectors who pre-ordered and paid in full from InArt.

I believe first batch is for those who ordered directly from QS/Inarts website. People who ordered directly from them got messages regarding shipment being this week. Stock for retailers will probably be closer to CNY or after. I believe Covid is pretty terrible right now in factories.

SooSooToys just said yesterday that 90% of their factory workers have caught Covid, causing in low man power. They had to delay the release of their figures until around CNY. I expect the same for other manufacturers.

It’s okay :lol I’m kidding around. I do appreciate the heads up.

They’re going to double down. I can see it now: “well they had to get this one right, but what about their later releases?”
Absolutely. The bias is so easy to see. I really hope the drama dies off, though. I just want to collect my toys, lol.

Good. This is the only collectible I've bought, after decades of collecting, with the aftermarket in mind. I'm keeping the rooted figure ( though I've considered selling the jail cell version w/ dio), but I also bought one of the sculpted hair versions to resell months down the line. At least that's the plan.

For real. This hobby should and can be enjoyable. But some ppl take it waaaaay too seriously.

Yea it's probably going to be really tough to pick up parts. I would like a set of sculpted hair headsculpts just in case something ever happens with the rooted heads but I imagine the cost of those together will be the price of at least one figure

Covid is still a thing? Why are they still struggling so much with lockdowns over there

I’m truly shocked that the first in-hand images were taken with clarity, great lighting, great futzing, a variety of fun and scene-recreating poses; it’s just unheard of!

This is why I’m not a fan of the ‘free’ shipping approach.
A few companies use standard box dimensions but the rest of the time you’re guessing and either under or overcharging.

Maybe for InArt or statues you should just invoice for shipping with the balance payment once you know box weight and dimensions.

“Due to unpredictable packaging dimensions, we will include the shipping costs with the final balance invoice. Similar items have cost between $XXX - $XXX to ship. Displeasure with the cost of shipping is not a sufficient reason to cancel an order and we will keep the non-refundable deposit if final payment is refused.”
sounds like a wonderland :ROFLMAO:

"Free" shipping is our tradition, it makes things easier for both parties. We do ask for addition shipping for some countries with super high shipping cost, but we will warn them when they place the preorder

I think OSK is the first store doing "free" shipping and there's a good reason for other stores following us

Sometimes we lost money per sales, not just about under-estimate shipping costs, there are factors like currency rate or other unexpectable expenses.

Business is full of risk

Anyways, Merry Christmas everyone!

The coat looks better than expected. I already have a custom Joker with rooted hair, and I will perhaps put this coat on that figure, assuming it looks better than the Daftoys one, and then use this figure for the vest and seamless arms look (though the hair will be wrong).
