Did you futz with the hair at all, like they did in the video with heating it in place, or is this straight out of the box?

Yeah I hit it with 15 seconds of heat from a hair dryer and some futzing. Straight out of the box it's a little clumpy but not bad.

I still think HT Nicholson is one of their best figures -- and a personal favorite -- yet side-by-side with InArt, the Nicholson looks a bit toyish. I think that's a good thing too.

Yeah, the DX08 is my second favorite Hot Toys behind the DX13. But I agree with you, InArt seems to be incrementally pushing the hobby forward with their work, and I look forward to the day when Hot Toys only makes up a quarter of my collection because there are other great licensed companies putting out quality figures.

Looks great! I thought it looked more wavy than most others ive seen. Cant wait to get mine in hand.

I think overall he looks great as their first foray into 1/6.

Some improvements they need to make, however, definitely are the eyes and also to make the tailoring and musculature closer to their prototypes. But excellent first release. 1/6 is interesting again.

Which is why I’ve always been critical about HT for so long.

they’ve had SO MUCH time to push the medium forward and innovate. These seamless forearms, magnetic neck, wrists and feet...this stuff should’ve already been implemented 10 years ago. Magnetic necks were introduced with their Baleman DX...and that was the end of it. Not to mention less than stellar portraits, increased prices because reasons...so yeah, anything with HT became stale.

I’m so happy InArt exists. They’ve made collecting interesting again. Iconiq studios made my figure of the year with their Ryu...but in terms of advancing 1/6 scale, InArts existence will change things.

Apparently he was wanted for murder and has been evading Thailand’s authorities and resorted to getting plastic surgery and has been hiding in plain sight this whole entire time....


Man, first viper, and now Howard Chan. What’s with these CEOs of toy companies having such a shady past?

If anyone asks how I know this, my informant is the same one that revealed vipers criminal history to that YTer...
