I've taken a few more of my Indy ( still awaiting a WGP sculpt to complete him ) Hope you don't mind that he is headless ! :lol

I wish that I had kept my HT Indy head ( pictured above ) until I had the new head in hand :(

I modded the collar on the HT jacket - hope it looks okay, I'm happy with it . I need to make a new holster, think its a bit big and need to paint his belt dark brown and add a whip keeper. Other than that I'm nearly there. Not quite as good as the other Indy's in this thread but he's good enough for me.

Looks great, Paul...even if your Indy was decapitated at the end of Last Crusade! I guess he wasn't "penitant" enough! :monkey1

The Hot Toys figure take a lot of grief, but I love it and I think it requires some love from the owner to really get a great representation of Indy out of it. This is the best thread on this board, because everyone who has posted a picture of their Indy really loves it and it shows. Most threads die down a few months after a figure is released, but this one just keeps going. I can't wait to see what the introduction of the WGP sculpt does to this thread!

another couple of Indy and his mysterious shrunken head. ( I know it looks a bit weird with the floating fedora but I left it on to give the essence of Indy.)

Thanks ! :lol I know what you mean, this seems to be a character and figure that people never tire of upgrading or working on. I don't think I'll ever finish working on this to be honest. :lol

That's a fantastic looking Indy, Paul. :rock You'll have one hell of a figure once WGP finally ships that damn sculpt!

Looks sharp! Can't wait to see it with the WGP head, I know you can't either.

The SSC's shape is better but it's a little short in the top part. The finish on the HT one I like, including the real ribbon - the SSC one is a bit shiny and looks painted whereas the HT one looks roughly like a real hat.

I have both, but don't want to ruin the interior of the SSC hat (which is nicely finished with shiny fabric.) I cast it and was in the process of creating a higher top SSC hat when the HT fig was announced. Maybe go back and finish it.

I dunno, they both look like fake toy hats if you really scrutinize. But the SS always had a better overall shape, but agreed, a bit short.

If you can extend the top a bit and replace the HT ribbon over the sculpted one you'd have quite a hat!

It's looking really good, Paul. What body are you using? And what exactly did you do with the jacket? It's got a nice fit.

Thank you all for your kind comments Guys ! It seems to be a never ending road with this fella and it has been an enjoyable journey so far. I can't wait to see the WGP heads on all of your figures . Its seeing your customs that drives me on to improve mine.

The body ? You'd never believe me if I told you. :lol It is in fact the Enterbay Elvis body. I had to mod the section where the boots meet the bottom of the leg but it was a small price to pay . The slim arms look quite cool in the jacket and also just the shirt itself. The skin tone matches the HT hands etc perfectly so I dare say that the HT Indy head would match it too without any kind of repaint. The body also can give you the Ford slouch :)

The only mod I made to the jacket was to extend the collar. ( I liked the look of the collar on the jackets that Marfmaster etc used on their figures so tried to emulate that ) The rest of the jacket is stock HT . It just seems to fit quite well on this body. The shoulders fit quite well on the figure and its position leaves the neck in just the right position. ( If that makes sense ? Its neck doesn't look to be too short on this figure )

( quick plug... I have a spare body for sale in the commerce section if anyone wants one at a good price, I was going to use it for a jacketless streets of Cairo Indy but decided that one Indy is enough for now ;) )

quick pic of a comparison between the Enterbay and Soldier Story bodies . If I can find my HT muscle body I'll snap a pic of both too.

The shoulders may look a bit funny but make a whole world of a difference when clothed.

Hopefully the new head isn't too big for those bodies, Paul. The Hot Toys head seems to be close to the same size as the Medicom one. In fact, the HT Hat was almost to tight/small for the Medi. I love the Soldier Story body but had to shave down the wrists and neck. I ended up with a TTL body just because of the skin tone...it closely matches the medi. The TTL bodies are cheap...you may want to check it out. I know this is the KOTCS version...but the size should be the same as what you're working with now.

For some reason these pics of the medicom sculpt look great. The one with the hat really hits it for me.

the Sculpt's always been great. The basic paint job was good but not as complimentary as it should have been. This one has been slightly re-painted and detailed.

Yeah, there have been some fantastic repaints of the Medicom KOTCS sculpt. Wish I had picked that figure up, I have the Raiders one and the sculpt is no where near as good as the KOTCS one. I dare say it's better than SSC's.

I tried the Sideshow sculpt on the body before going to all the trouble and it was HUGE . Knowing that the new head is a touch smaller gave me the confidence to go ahead with the swap. The one thing about Harrison is that in Raiders he didn't have huge shoulders. If you look in Star Wars a new hope - there are several pics of him and he doesn't have huge wide shoulders.

I also did a bit of homework on the body before buying, I saw how big the Mr Han head was compared to the neck and saw this same sculpt on other bodies. I appreciate your concern though, nice to have someone looking out for me. And that's a very nice looking Indy there by the way. That sculpt has always been one of my favourites.

I put together this very crude photoshop a little while ago of the WGP head onto my choice of body based on the neck thickness of the figure it was posted on. Looks about right in my opinion.

That definitely has the 10th Anniversary Raiders poster vibe going for it. I love it! Now do I buy a new body, or transplant arms?

I hope it looks awesome, Paul! You just never know until you try it.

Thanks! I'll be sure to show the completed painted figure on here.

If you're happy with the body you have I'd just replace the arms. It seems to be an easy enough mod to carry out . :)

Can someone who owns both of these tell me if the two SSC sculpts (hat and no-hat) that came with the ROTLA are exactly the same visually? The angle on the two pics below is slightly different, so tough to tell from them.

They are clearly the same sculpt, yet the hatless one doesn't seem to look as rounded/slightly chubby as the hatted one. I'm wondering if the molding process that included the addition of the hair elongated the sculpt slightly, making it appear leaner.

I have always been baffled as to why the hatless one looks just a little better than the hatted one. Or is it just an optical illusion the way the HT one seems to look a little better in the no-hat set-up than the hatted one?

Obviously neither are great and feature that SSC paint application that was dated even when the figure came out, but I'm just curious.
