That's my feeling also. It does look nice. Really nice. But not $800 nice. And like you said it doesn't give that realistic wrinkle effect like the Yunsil can achieve. But again I haven't seen anyone weather is and add the wrinkles to the Kato jacket yet. Would it be achievable? I dunno.

Either way I'm happy with my Yunsil weathered and wrinkled by Jacob. And I'm even happier that it didn't cost me $800. View attachment 437887View attachment 437888

See Yunsil's outfit set properly adjusted by Jake.

Yeah, that does look pretty decent. For anyone more budget conscious I'd still look to the SSC jacket or look at whatever material it was made from.

That's the Yunsil jacket. It's not leather and is a very thin material. Weathered up you can't tell and it replicates the 1/1 very well in 1/6 scale.

Get out! I thought Yunsil was leather! That’s great, thanks for smartening me up!

Sovereign Studios did an amazing job on his weathered Raiders screen accurate jackets, and that was like 8 years ago too:

Yeah I think that is the same one that I have Faststreetsofhongkong. The one with the really long sleeves. Great looking Indy.

Was there another version of that jacket made?

He did all sorts of lengths, you just had to ask. And he did any version from the films that you would want.

The one to the far right looks like one of Sovereign's oldest and best jackets. He made some really great ones between 2002-2004. Still the only jacket I've seen that accurately captures the correct "Raiders" length.

But once he started mass producing years later, he really sacrificed the art for speed of delivery.

That's interesting Wor-Gar.

I have seen a few of those jackets, or at least ones that looked like it, a few times on ebay previously.

As much as I respect the work and talent that went into those jackets, I could never get over the texture of them. They always looked like canvas, Carhartt-type jackets.

Yeah, they ain't pretty to the touch -- stiff as hell and difficult to work with. But if you get a good one, or manage to futz it just right, they do look awesome. Most notable thing that helps is slimming the oversized sleeves.

They are definitely best for "dirty Indy" as opposed to a cleaner Indy. But really, Indy should always be messed up and dirty. Just like Katanga imagined.

Yeah, I think I only had to wait like 5 years for mine to show up that I had paid for years earlier. And never did receive my KOTCS version. :wave

He failed at both in the end.

Happy New Year everyone.

Waiting 5 years? I thought I had it bad waiting 2 years for some full size masks! That's terrible. I don't understand how people can take commissions and then show no urgency in getting them done or even bother to communicate to the buyer and keep them updated through the process.

The sovereign jacket is like paper. It really is very clever how it was all put together.

I have two brown leather like jackets for my custom RJ MacReady figures that if they were done in the Indiana Jones style they would look pretty good.

I had an entire custom Indy from Shawn (Soverign Studios) at one point. He was amazingly talented. The MKVII bag was especially well done. It’s too bad things went “south” the way they did. He did good work.

Happy New Year to you too!
May we all progress on our own versions of Indy that work for us, whether your preference is long jacket or short jacket [emoji6]

Well said Faststreets.

I have my favourite sculpts but I love seeing what other people come up with, with their own customs. I mean if we all had the same custom figures how boring would that be?

I'm currently messing around with the Sideshow Raiders jacket to try and get it like Rogerbee's one which looks brilliant.
