I think that looks all right. Though, that shape fedora is going to look off no matter what when it comes to anything but Raiders.

it just looks too straight and perfect, and the brim is too upturned as well.

All the custom hats have this problem. The best hat ever was Trevor Grove's hat from the original Raiders Indy by Sideshow... it had that lopsided asymmetrical shape.

That said, I have several Inigo hats and you can easily reshape the brim by heating it up. It looks a lot better with some futzing of the brim.

Yeah the color doesn't look too bad there in comparison.

Anyway, I received the Inigo sculpt today and... gotta say I'm just not really feeling it at the moment. Even though it's a standard HT size, it still seems a bit large on both my Raiders and TOD Indys, with the neck on the Raiders body I'm using clearly being way too small under it. The head fits much better on the Solo body, but my Iris shirt is just far too small to work with that one.

The hat also sits a bit too high on the head for my taste, and in fact I almost like it better with the HT hat instead.

I don't know, maybe once it's painted I'll like it better and it won't seem to throw off the proportions as much. But at the moment I'm kinda wishing I had another Jnix Indy to use instead.

I like the taller crown 1/6 fedoras but that does have a touch of a Gangs of New York hat vibe there, though I assume part of it is lens distortion.

I know the HT fedora has a few issues but all-round, I still think it's the best choice and looks good from a variety of angles.

I like that hat too, but to me it wasn't quite tall enough (slightly soft sculpt too, and sculpted ribbon.) I cast it and extended the crown a bit for a custom Indy I've been working on and quite like it. One issue is that it was sized for an older, larger style of 1/6 heads so may not work great for newer heads.

Yeah, its definitely dated in several ways... but for its time, Trevor really captured the essence of the Indy hat. That Fedora really had personality in Raiders -- the odd shape and beat-up nature really complimented Indy and summarized his character. It lost that in the sequels and just became... a hat.

It was only when I started putting together my first Indy custom that I even realised that the hat in Raiders was unique. I honestly hadn't noticed before that. I just thought it was the same hat in each movie.

I heated up the Inigou hats so they would sit lower on the head sculpts.

In other news I am not too worried about staying at home a lot more now. The hours fly by when I am working on some custom stuff!

Here are some of the things I have made recently:

Thanks.

I just used Super Sculpey to make them. I have the Sideshow Exclusive Henry Snr and used that Grail Tablet to make my own. I have done a few different versions one being brown like in the movie and some that look more stonelike.

Dave, can you place the new Inigo head side by side with any of your other Indy heads to see the size? Curious how big it is. Mine might not be arriving for another few weeks.

I was thinking how if I used the SS TOD head for a TOD figure, the Jnix for Raiders, and then this Inigo figure for a Last Crusade figure it'll look like Indy's head was growing with age. :lol

Sure I'll do that tonight. It's identical in size to the HT ANH Han though, so if you have that figure you can see what the difference will be. It's actually not that big at all, but it is noticeably larger than the Jnix, so you probably won't want to display the two directly side by side.

I will say that now that I've switched the Iris outfit back over to the bigger Han body, the Inigo sculpt and proportions are working a whole lot better for me. It's not the body I really wanted to use for Indy, but I think I can live with it. Although I'll probably need to stitch the shirt closed just to keep it from popping open all the time. Lol

Thanks. Should I finish? Mfisher whip and gunbelt? The buckle looks different to me though. And is that the reduced MJ Choi head awaiting a hat?
The gunbelt is actually from raveneye with the buckle from the yunsil belt. The holster is from the iris set for now (waiting on a new holster from raven eye) the web belt is indeed from Fullmetal Customs.
