Re: 1/6 KOTCS Indiana Jones

Much better price! Ex ordered, but I may switch to the regular. It's still just an $85 fridge.

I wonder if that was their strategy all along? Tell everyone it's a ridiculously high price, then when it comes time to order, lower the price a bit so everyone will be happy and relieved it's not as expensive as everyone once thought!

Hell, that might be it. I was hands down not getting the EX till I saw it was cheaper then I had anticipated.

he's bobbleheaded....ewwwwww

He's going on a TT narrow shoulder, Worm. No doubt. If you think these look bobble headed you should see the ROTLA Indy. He looks like freaking Bruce Bochy.

The fridge is poly and metal, which made the price reasonable, plus it depicts one of my two favorite scenes in KOTCS, so this one made sense for me to pick up. Whether by accident or design, I'm glad the price is much lower than what had been discussed.

Reasonable?
Youre paying $85 for a fridge accessory, thats terrible.

Wow that fridge is short compared to Indy. :lol

I think the fridge accessory is hilarious, so it has value to me. It's all in how you look at it. Some people don't care about it or that scene in the movie so, yeah, it wouldn't make sense to them to spend $85 on it.

The more I think about the more the fridge is just a fantastic idea. It is hilarious and cool at the same time and will make a GREAT display piece.

I thought about it and in the end felt the fridge was a passable accessory. I did though get the Cobra Throne. :dunno

true...but its 85 bucks, you can get another figure for that...i think SS needs to rethink the whole polystone/chair/environment idea...im not falling for paying 80-200 bucks more just for a chair or fridge or something, thats way too much extra

I've been wondering that myself. I've got my Raiders Indy on a TT and it's a tight fit around the shoulders. You suggesting the narrow shoulders, Flosi? Or would the slim be an even better fit?

This was my initial reaction....

Then I preordered the EX and am second guessing myself.... Oh well. I'll keep the EX preordered for now. The Idol Environment w/Belloq seems like a bargain now. What was that? 135? then 170 for Toht and the Ark? now 175 for Indy and the fridge? Indy does come loaded with stuff though... mask, dagger, skull etc. And I like that the price point for JUST Indy has stayed the same from the ROTLA version.

I don't even have a Narrow TT yet (but do have a couple on order) and Indy on a standard TT annoyed me so I took a file to the shoulders and grinded them down pretty far. Just shaving off a millimeter or two on each side made his jacket fit much better. As far as KOTKS Indy I'm just anticipating the Narrow TT as being a good match. Try sanding/filing down the TT shoulders, I think it works well, myself.

Re: 1/6 KOTCS Indiana Jones

Knowing that you could get another figure for $85, well, you can't argue with that. Especially when one dabbles in various other lines, you have to pick and choose.

I never bought the exclusive versions of Belloq or Toht so this one is not hitting my pocketbook that hard. As far as price, I expect Sideshow to continue pushing the envelope on the it. I've already reached my limits of what I'm willing to spend on collectibles anymore. In general, I think they are getting too expensive.

Re: 1/6 KOTCS Indiana Jones

Although I'm strictly a Raiders guy I really like this figure and the exclusive. I think SS is taking a risk with the fridge but it's one I like.

The sculpt is just crazy. Trevor is one of the best talents out there, hands down. With every sculpt he creates magic. I've heard from many sculptor that Ford is a very hard guy to nail down but Trevor has done it several times and each time it's such an amazing work of beauty. Here's his raw Indy 4 sculpt. I don't recall it being posted here before so if it has, sorry.

Amazing again, Trevor is the KING of Harrison Ford sculpts. Another HUGE winner. Can't wait to get this and send it off to small_studios Josh for a repaint! :rock
