1/6 Mal for Nathan Fillion Project

The boots look great Trevor! I'm seriously considering a pair, it's just a matter of finding someone to paint and attach them to Mal. I would have to send the entire figure because Mal is more or less permanently dressed

darthviper- I'd be happy to help cover the electronics expense. I'll send you a PM in a minute.

In a lot of ways it's probably best to have bashed boots, since you can manipulate your figure more easily and so forth. But these will be available if anyone wants them!

I agree, they are cool, but I'm going to stick with the Newline Japanese Officers boots cause I don't know how I'd attach them to my Mal and have them look right.

I am in for a pair!! The new line boots look good on the TV version but they look funny on my serenity Mal.

Ordered the electronics, it might be a couple weeks though for the circuit for the flickering light to ship--they have to put the circuit together, hopefully it won't take that long

if you have time Trevor, I think a lot of us would also be very interested in some boots for River as those seem pretty hard to find a suitable pair.

I'll repost the boots in the main thread to gauge interest. I should be able to cast them up this week. The mold is done, it just needs some post-cure time.

ProgMatinee-I can do River boots. These Mal boots only took a weekend. Much nicer than portraits! Less torture to my brain. Now I don't know if I'd be up for sculpting shoes for everyone, though. lol!

I just mailed the base yesterday. I had to find some transparent yellow acetate for behind the firefly logo.

the castings of the boots are getting sent to SilentSurfer today.

I think we'll get there pretty soon, really. Way quicker than I imagined...and I never even imagined such an awesome base!

I've got the head and still waiting on the body before I paint it. Nothing else has hit my doorstep.
