That's not necessarily shady, stores don't know how big and heavy boxes are until they get them from manufacturers, so shipping estimates may need to be revised. These stores aren't megacorps like Amazon that can just eat the extra fees. I don't remember seeing any shipping cost upfront with KGHobby. I only pay deposits, I assume it's different when you pay the whole amount right away?

I feel ya, the more time I spent looking at it the less I liked it, to the point where Claire's knees honestly don't bother me as much as Leon's outfit. The fit of it seems weird, I dunno, it looked like that in the game too.
because the remake did a great job of grounding Leon's outfit in realism while keeping what made it iconic. Capcom didn't succeed with Claire at all in my opinion and the classic outfit is much closer.
I only quoted the part about shipping... It was not a defense of KGHobby, I was just explaining how shipping costs work in general. You can bet any shop that includes shipping in the price a year or so in advance, probably has a nice margin on top of the item price, to compensate for potential increases in shipping costs or high costs for potentially large boxes. Some shops say "free shipping" but the figure is 60$ more expensive and costs only 40$ to ship with another store. Again, I'm talking in general.
