I remembered I had some tiny little screws in my tool shed

Magnificent!! That works great!

Has anyone thought about trimming the mohawk? I do think that'll mean redying the hair red as it's not red nearer the base at all.

It shouldn't be as long as it is it, but I'm very aware that it doesn't grow back... and making it look right could be counterproductive as the sweep-back will be lost and it's still a great; if inaccurate, look.

Some more outside shots. I decided to trim the feathers up a bit more. I also used some PVA glue mixed with Red & black Dye and applied them to the feathers, they looked too fluffy before, Also dyed the top of the mohawk red. I Will probably try Marine Boys shoulder pad mod next. (y)

Great work, Marine Boy!

We watched it Mad Max 2 last night and I'm definitely going to make that smoke stack accessory too.

Started the planning stages for a new crossbow too, it looks very complicated in the movie but after capping a few scenes from different angles I've got the design down now. Just working out what material for the base with the two guides that extend out over the hand. They need to be either very strong or very flexible.

I repainted the bolts yesterday too.. they should be silver with white fletching.
Some shots have no points on them and some do. Will stick with the stock ones in that respect.

That's why I was talking about trimming the hair. It's way too long for his actual hair cut.

But I'm not convinced yet that there's enough hair rooted in to get that exact look.

Also a little PSA, be VERY careful with the mohawk as the dye they used for the hair isn't remotely set.

This is the unsurprising cause of all the red marks on the head sculpts but be aware it wasn't a stage of manufacturing: it's still very able to stain now.

It's very bright magenta and will stain anything you get near it.

I'm trying to rinse it out with some Windex and it's taken a couple of applications, as evidenced above, to get it to more stable colour-fastness. Tempted to try and get it all out and do my own colouring as this is something you don't want staining as my very bright pink finger tips will now attest. So yeah.. wear gloves if you want to do this.

And be careful not to get it on the head sculpt as I think it'll be as good as a permanent stain. I've only got a little bit at the back of the head which I'm happy to leave without risking stripping more of the finish off with a harsher cleaner.

Addendum: I kept working on it until eventually it all came out leaving a pale pink on the hair it was on over what was bleached white underneath, so none of it was colourfast, you'll need to take it all off if you want to stop it staining. Looks like I'll be redoing the hair colour and I think I'll be trimming it to the right length. If I screw it up I'll repoke some hair back in.

Seeing all these issues, I'm not regretting cancelling this one. A shame, really. It would have been nice to get a decent Wez in the collection.

This figure isn't a lost cause. Most of us went in to it knowing there was work to do. For me that's part of the fun in this hobby. Especially when the figure doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Happy to have him in the collection.

Yeah, I would of cancelled if it was a total train wreck but it is certainly salvageable. I cant see another Wez fig being released anytime soon but you never know?

I'm more annoyed at issues on big, expensive things, like the PT2 DeLorean. For a cheap figure like this, it's not so bad. Coming up with fixes, is what makes us grow. I'm really happy with mine now and am glad to have him in the collection. I'm hoping, by supporting the line, we get more releases.

Much better. What kind of paint did you use for the red?

I think you need to touch up his eyebrows and beard slightly, as they have rubbed off a little.
