I just kit bashed a TPM Sisious outta my extra Palpatine I just got from toy anxiety.

Do you guys think I should have the eyes painted to be Sith eyes, or should I just leave it as is (since the hood pretty much covers his face like in the movie)?

If you want to be true to the films, it seems like he only went Sith eyed after his disfigurement, so I'd say no. Ultimately though, it's your figure so make it what you want. My understanding of the saga is that his eyes turned Sith after being deformed for whatever reason, but like Anakin early on and Dooku, Palpatine never had them. It's a confusing issue as Maul had them the entire time, and Dooku never had them while Palpatine and Anakin/Vader phased into them.

I agree on the coloring of Palpatine's outfit. That was my only real issue with the costume on that figure. Sidious' costume would be accurate if only the cloak clasp was attached differently (and straighter) and if that stinking dress wasn't used. Seriously, how hard could trousers have been?!?!?

Still, two solid figures and worth the price IMO. :emperor

As for the Sith eyes question, Pix, I'd leave them off of a TPM Sidious for the reasons stated already. As for the issue of why Maul always had them, it seems as though Sith eyes only appear in the films when one allows their rage to fully consume them. Palpatine and Dooku kept control over their hatred when it was necessary. Notice how Anakin's eyes only turned during the height of his emotions (slaughtering the Separatists, being defeated/maimed by Obi-Wan). As for Maul, EU backstory explains that Sidious conditioned him to be nothing more than a ferocious beast channeling the Dark Side. Maul was always consumed by hatred. Hence, the Sith eyes were always there.

Just got Medicom Vader earlier today and I'm displaying him next to Sidious. The scale difference here isn't as noticeable as it is with other Sideshow/Medicom combos.

Putting Vader in front gives it a stronger effect.

I'm fitting together the pieces for my Sith Lightening. I'm stoked to see it all finished. I know a lot of us think the lightening makes it look too toyish, but I really feel it's an integral part of his character and really looks no more toyish than the ignited lightsabers. So, here's some test shots. What do you think?

I thought this was a really evocative image of my favorite Sith!!

I like it best in this shot, there almost seems like too much lightning in the others.
