He‘s growing on me a bit now.

Justin reviewed the figure, and gave it glowing marks, I was pretty surprised. Now that I've had it for a few days, I'm happier with the figure, and it's still great to have a decent 1/6 representation of Hush Batman (I have the Mafex RAH from years ago, but that one's lousy).

That said, after seeing all of the reports about the broken bandaged head sculpts people were getting, I went back and checked mine, and sure enough, one of the ears was chipped.

I didn't notice it when I first opened it because I knew I'd never use that sculpt, so I immediately switched to the standard one. Wondering if it's worth the trouble to go through OSC for a replacement...

Does he tell people how much he paid for each figure he reviews? In his case, I assume he's sent all the figures for free. If I don't pay any money for something, it's definitely going to color my opinion of a figure.

While he doesn't mention how much he pays, It's a decent figure ( though a bit overpriced). Justin also received one without any QC issues unlike most of us which may explain why he's a bit more positive than us. Justin is always positive tho.

His videos are more for a thorough look at the figure than for unbias reviews.

I don't regularly watch his reviews, but for what it's worth, he says that he bought this figure for his own collection, so I don't think SSR gave it to him.

I didn’t watch Justin’s review but it’s not a terrible figure. I can totally understand people who got a good copy being happy with it.

It’s the cost and the QC issues that are ruining the excitement for it more than anything I’m sure. As soon as I have time to pose it up I’ll snap some more pics but as long as I get a replacement head I’ll probably keep it as a good 1/6 Hush Bats on the shelf.

I was surprised Justin gave it such a good review. He's not been shy to criticise other third party offerings and even Hot Toys at times.

I keep trying to talk myself into buying the figure because I love Hush so much but just see too many innacuracies.

It's grown on me also a bit now. Though I'm planning on Upgrading the suit by buying one from Tony Mei. The original body will remain as it's actually the best for this version of Batman. The sculpt is from Waruna for those wondering.

Still no replacement sculpt or any word from OSC about it. Hopefully they’ll come through with one otherwise it’ll be my last order from them and no more SSR figures either. It was clearly damaged before packing it up which is just inexcusable.

Unfornately I'm pretty sure OSK has no control over QC issues or replacements. One of the big cons with buying third party kits. All OSK can do is message SSR and hope that they reply and offer some sort of replacement piece that they can then send to you. Same thing happened with GianToys and LIMTOYS. All GianToys can do is message LIMTOYS and hope that they offer replacement pieces for anything broken on their figures.

I wouldn't be surprised if SSR doesn't do anything with how wide spread the QC issues seem to be. They probably won't respond to any retailer reaching out for replacement parts.

True. No retailer has control over the QC issues of any products they sell unless they are directly responsible for the manufacturing of that product. I guess I look at it differently though. OSK is a retailer same as Lowe’s, Wal-Mart or Sideshow. They buy wholesale and mark it up for resale. They ultimately bear the responsibility of the products they sell and the relationship they have with their wholesalers.

If I buy a Dewalt drill at Lowe’s or a Hot Toys figure from Sideshow and it’s defective I expect Lowe’s or Sideshow to have already worked out an arrangement that I either get a full refund or a replacement. Anyone buying from a retail shop should never consider it a gamble as to whether or not they’ll be stuck with a broken or defective product.

That being said OSK did tell me that SSR will be providing them with replacement sculpts soon however that was 5 weeks ago and I hadn’t heard anything from them. I’m still hopeful I’ll get a new sculpt but we’ll see.
