Okay, this one's "off subject" for a minute. Still BTTF, but I wanted to get everyone's opinion about which 1/6 scale body to use for Doc Brown. I've already got my Marty on an HT TT narrow shoulder body with Spenser's sculpt. I'm getting the Doc sculpt soon from MarfMaster. What's a good body for Doc that would be taller than the HT TT narrow shoulder one I am using for Marty. Any help/suggestions are appreciated guys! :wave

I know :exactly: what to do. :monkey1

:lol:lol:1-1:

You'll have Kuz come here to correct us that TT slim it too tall. :lecture

but... eh, whatever looks good IMO.

Well is the body you are using bud readily available?

Has the tailor already started?

If not could we not switch over to this body?

Very available, not sure, it's Shortstuff go at it so... I never like to intervene on someone's work once they have decided what's going on or not... know what I mean? I know how it is to start customizing and then have someone jump in there and start pointing inaccuracies.

I guess we could ask if they have started or not? :dunno

Yeah like I said earlier I will let others thrash the details out on this one and just snake in at the end :lol

Just like the thought of a real height difference between Marty and my exisiting 12" figures.

:lol, I'm the same way of thinking...

That's definitely a nice body to make the difference between the existing 12" figures.

It's not dated either because of all the articulation points, that's the best part of that body.

Honestly, the best fix I have seen (and used) for the height difference between Marty and Doc is to leave Doc on a regular TT with ankle pins. For Marty, I removed the ankle pins and used dowel rods to connect his legs directly to his feet. It makes him shorter than Doc, but not so much that his arms look out of proportion.

Skiman, you're the only one I know who was smart enough to grab those Crazy Owners distressed jeans while they were available. And I know you're showing them off, because Marty's jeans were All-American and wholesome, not holey. They'll go great with a Kurt Cobain bash.

Thanks kgrhoad. I'll see what I can do after I get Doc's head and hands from Marfmaster soon. :wave

I like the HT TT narrow shoulder body on my Marty now. I might even use an old Sideshow body that's taller than it for Doc. I just have to see about it.

The Saturday Toys body is about the same height as standard Dragon body, but far more advanced.
It's a perfect height for Marty and it's shorter than a Hot Toys Slim.

Sideshow body could work for Doc since it's taller than Hot Toys True Types, but I don't think it's worth using.

Here's my Doc with Spenser's sculpt on a Sideshow body:

WTF dude?...:pfft:

Slim is too tall for Marty... that's a fact...
:thwak

Told yah :rotfl :lecture:panic:

Actually if you remove the ankle adaptors from the slim, he'll be about an inch shorter than the narrow. Anything shorter would look weird. :lecture

I wasn't even aware of that, is it easy to do etc :monkey3

Will Rainmans tailor take that into account do you think?

To be honest, not sure I want my Marty any shorter than the stock slim. The proportions are already noticeably different from the standard TT, and making the legs any shorter might make the arms look proportionately awkward. Anyhow, that's my opinion.
