Lastly... Obi-Wan went from Ewan to Alec in about 18 years? Yikes! See what harsh double suns can do to a complexion!

Just one of the many screwups Lucas did with the prequels

Now I've heard every possible ridiculous criticism of the PT when people are criticizing the casting of McGregor as Obi-Wan.

Mine will be here Wed........:chew

And he's getting posed like this:

That wasn't me criticizing the casting of Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan... I thought Ewan was the best part of the Prequels and thought he did a great job.

That was me criticizing the fact we're expected to believe Obi Wan aged so much in such a short period of time. That's not McGregor's fault, it's Lucas'.

That's one of my bigger gripes with the PT. It would have been so easy for the Clone Wars to last more than 3 years and then the ages for everyone would make a lot more sense. I thought they'd been at least 10 years between AOC and ROTS.

Hmm, true, but It's best not to think too hard about stuff like that, mainly because there is other stuff to be scratching your head about first.

The timing of the Clone Wars was fine. At most, the only thing else could be done would be to add extra aging to McGreggor, but anything else and McGreggor couldn't have played him. I'd rather have some appearance discrepencies and a great acting performance than continuity and bland acting. And man oh man do McGreggor and Guinness look alike in many ways.

Actually its not off by much mathematically. If Obi Wan were 25 in TPM, 35 in AOTC, 38 in ROTS and 57 19yrs later in ANH. Sir Alec was 63 when they filmed Episode IV.

Yeah, close enough.

And I'd rather have Ewan looking 6 years younger than he should than have any other actor in the role.

Like Micro Jow said, Ewan was the best part of the trilogy.

No one is criticizing McGregor just the timeline

He was prolly the best thing in those movies

Dont read anymore into my comments then is there

The upper elbow joint on his left arm is suffering from Bespin Luke syndrome. Stuck firm. Guess I'll have to pull out the hairdryer again. The hands are once again nearly impossible to pop on, but better that than them falling off I suppose. The training remote's stand has a nice, firm metal rod to hold the orb in place. I was worried it would be plastic, flimsy, and warped within a week but this should hold nicely. The interior edge of his cloak looks like it was cut by a three year old - lots of frays and jags... maybe they intended it to be like this because it's supposed to be an old cloak? Dunno.

OK, back to work! :chew

If Sideshow doesnt fix the stuck left arm,I am gonna stop buying their figures. We SHOULD NOT have to break out our hairdryers to fix this every dang time we get a figure. My Luke Bespin was almost destroyed cause of this because of trying to bend the elbow and his forearm busted apart in pieces (I repaired it). This is the 3rd time now Ive heated up a Sideshow Starwars figure to loosen it.Now,when my Obiwan arrives I'll have to have my hairdryer handy! Now when is Sideshow gonna learn from Hot Toys and Medicom and produce bodies that move correctly, with correct proportion and non-glued joints.Seriously, the left stuck arm crap has got to go!!!

Got him! Love him!

The elbows were stiff on mine too - but with a little pressure they freed up.
