That was a real treat, guys! Funny, but I was thinking last night what a cool setup that would be to photograph those three figures together, and today when I logged in... Bam! - there it was!!! MaulFan's background and transparency effect really make it look like a shot from the movie. If only they were smiling..! :D

Well, it's not much, but here are some really quick pics shot on the living room floor... I just had to take some shots of this fantastic figure. Sorry they're not very artistic, but at least they're mostly in focus!:lol

What's up with the belt? Looks like that lightsaber weighs a ton.Is it too loose or can it be straightened.

Glad to be of service, btw... if you don't mind sharing a bit of magic. How do you get that transparent effect? Its really great looking!

I assume you're working in Photoshop. I use layers in this order.

Layer 2 - Figures

Layer 1 - Background

Reduce the opacity on the figure layer accordingly, I went down to 65%, that keeps them solid enough to see detail but transparent enough to see the backgournd elements. I also create and adjustment layer for Hue / Saturation and use a negative saturation to take some of the base colors out of the figures, then another adjustment layer for Curves to give a bluish hue to all the figure tones. Last step is to create Layer Style for Outer Glow to give the glowing effect.

Yeah, the belt is quite loose. Just got him and haven't had a chance to make any adjustments yet. I don't suppose they all come like that, tho. I plan to add a little padding to his belly, which should take care of the belt problem.

OMG!!! Alec? Is that you..?

My apologies to all who participated that there can be only one winner of BEST PHOTO EVER, because there were so many great entries, BUT THIS IS IT!!! Greatest photo ever*! Congratulations!

*...at least best ever sans special f/x.

I just finished giving him a little padding and he's perfect now. I can't get over what a great figure this is. I hope some of this magic rubs off on the LOTR line, too!

Getting it ready now. :rock

I also got an extra Jedi Training Remote with my Obi-wan it was hidden under my figure. :lol So I have one complete one with base and then just the remote.
