These look great. :rock

Your Vader is kick ***.

Thanks Fiend. I'm stoked with the way he turned out. Big "thanks" to Flosi for the intital "how-to" info.

I gotta get around to making new robes and a cape for my Vader. Love the way your looks. Looking forward to the new Vader coming out so I can possibly upgrade some parts.

Who painted your Old Ben?

LordRagnar paints all my figures. He's on the forum.

Vader parts are going to go quickly (especially the light up chest box and belt).

Great photo, Fiend. This figure is really among SS's finest, considering that it was released a long, long time ago (no pun).

And if it weren't for this thread getting bumped I wouldn't find out that the great Adam Hughes has a SideshowFreaks account! I knew right away that Atom Hues must be him.

How much does it cost to get this kind of paint job?

It all depends on who you go with. I don't know what LordRagnar charges but from experience with different artists they average from $70- $150, that's the low end to mid-range I would say. I think some artists charge more, the big names on the board.

I paid $75 for mine. Pics don't do it justice in the least.

Skiman. Unfortunately he isn't taking painting commissions at the moment, he got burned out and wants to sculpt. But there are plenty of painters here on the board. Im sure you won't have a hard time finding one. Just go over to the Customs sub-forums and take a look around you're bound to find someone taking commissions. I think Galactiboy is and he's painted a couple awesome Obis.
