Thanks Fiend :hi5:

Out the box the robe was all creased and mis shaped, I just spent a while futzing it.

The problem is when someone sold me the figure they they gave a different Jedi robe. It looks good when futzed but I like the ratty and smaller hood look of Old Ben.

Looks fine to me, nice shots too.

I'll just ask (and it'll sound dumb) how the hell do you use the SW stands that go around the waist, rather than the 'crotch grabber' style?

When I try to use them, they just mess up any futzing I've done.

This figure slipped past me when I got out of 1/6 for a while. Now I feel l like I need it. There's one on eBay for $569!! Is that really indicative of the price these are going for? To those of you picking this up recently, is eBay feasible, or are you finding trades and board sales the way to go?

I prefer the ratty one for Old Ben though. I'd like to display him with his hood up like when he was creeping around the Death Star but this hood is too big and doesn't look right. Anyway, I clip the stand around his waist under the robe then futz.

No way. If you find the EX in MISB the price may be high but nowhere near that. Keep checking on the boards, have patience. I've seen him sell on here for around $100-$130 depending on if it's an EX etc. I bought mine loose with all the pieces(kinda) for $80 shipped.

I got mine on eBay for £70, which is about $106!

That's not too bad. Was it the Reg. or Ex.?

It's the Reg. But it was brand new, never out the box.

I like how you describe Ben's robe, ratty!

I've gone for the creeping around the Death Star look, suits his expression.

I've been on the look out for one myself. Last month or so I barely missed one going for about $77 (missed it by $1) on ebay that had one small broken part. Just have to keep an eye out.

Great pics TheFiend. Nice job futzing the outfit.

Thanks!

Beautiful custom Ben Fiend - really nice. :rock

He needs a little pot belly though.. :monkey3

Thanks! I stuffed him as much as I could and I could barely get the belt around him as it is. :lol Unless I mod the belt or find a bigger Jedi belt that's similar I'm stuck with him like he is.

Although, I have seen others that have a fatter Old Ben. Maybe they can fill me in on what they did.

Maybe it's just a matter of removing some padding around his upper chest & shoulder area (if there is any), to give his waistline more of the illusion of 'podge' that it needs. :)

Put a fatsuit on my Old Ben.

Might be a bit excessive as he now looks huge, but luckily the cloak hides most of his bulk. Had to glue the belt and cloth sash on the back because they would not fit anymore, also hidden by the cloak.
