Another quick shot....

SNOWTROOPER-03_zps9857280c.jpg

This guy is so cool....

The display posted above is from the Myth & Magic of Star Wars exhibit. Unfortunately, the people assembling the mannequins aren't always correct in their placement of pieces: the Snowtrooper being one of them.

Sideshow has the belt/waist armor on correctly. Look at this production picture.

Good find, the 501st has it wrong then I just went to there site and it has the belt both ways.

Firstly guys - I love the Snowtroopers. :lecture

Secondly; the belt & crotch armour - it's either majorly unfutzed on the ones shown in here so far, or that's actually how it sits on the figure & can't really be realigned - what's the story with that? The ball guard is protecting the figure's intestines in most of those pics, & the belt is up under the chest plate. :lol

I agree about the crotch armor riding too high and had to fix it!

And on to the results . . . . . .

^See - now THIS is a great photo, a movie set shot speaks volumes.
Thanks for posting that. :hi5:

It shows exactly what I mean about the crown of the helmet on the SSC figure being too high & bulbous, & the face shield kind of splaying out too far. It spoils the figure for me. What adds insult to injury, is that the 2007 Hasbro vintage Snowie figure looks more accurate.

Lopie, what did you do to fix the glove - just cut down the hand armor and repaint or is that a whole new hand?

Exactly. There could be some of the troopers having the belt reversed but the cannon is like in this pic. As for hired people assembling and describing screen used props for exhibits there is known they make a lot of mistakes!

TK0083 those are fantastic shots with the e-web. All the other shots with the e-web so far look like the snowy is taking a dump and had me glad I hadn't ordered a few more troopers and the e-web. Your shots have single handedly made me rethink that decision. My wallet on the other hand is insisting I was right the first time. Luckily I don't think I'll have trouble getting a couple more regs and an eweb in a few months time.

Awesome snow shots! Damn, is that a badass figure :rock :rock

Hell yeah it is. I hope it continues on with Obi. I didn't pre order but looking at my sad one Sideshow pre order right now, I will likey go a head and order it just so I can have something coming soon :lol

I've got him and Yoda on order... I'm not a huge EpI Kenobi fan, but the figure looks promising, the exclusive is decent and I'm curious to see the light-up saber in person.

Fantastic pictures TK! You always know how to futz the best.

Thanks, King!

That trooper is looking real PROPER in his element:hi5:

I agree, that Kenner rifle's looking MIGHTY SEXY!!!!!!

Also, excellent job on the hand armor, Lopie! Gonna have to try it myself. How'd you do it? Blade? Dremmel?

After seeing in-hand pics with the Cannon I'm definitely putting that more in the "must have" category than it previously had been.
