I'll pretty much buy everything OT from HT and SS. I assume that at some point SW will be all I have, minus a few key figures.

SW would be last thing I'd abandon as collectibles... but I've still got a healthy mix of other stuff.

Although after the Snowtrooper; no OT on PO, but I have the Padawan Kenobi and PT Yoda.

As do I. About half of my 1/6th collection is non-SW, but when you start looking at Lego and vintage SW it suddenly does look pretty lopsided... Not to mention the hundreds of 3 3/4" modern figures sitting in my closet. :lol

Still managed to stay away from the PT 1/6th line, though Yoda and Obi Wan are testing my resolve. :lol

I gotta say, the latest Star Wars buzz... Kathleen Kennedy taking over from Lucas, the Disney acquisition, new films under new leadership, JJ Abrams on EP7, Lawrence Kasdan on board, canceling the other prequel 3D releases... is pulling me right back into the fray.

And you know what's funny? I actually feel even better about burning that Blu-ray set on the grill now, because it indeed marked the end of an era, and the beginning of a newer one filled with renewed, if still cautious, optimism. A New Hope now has double meaning.

So they've done away with these? No loss there :lol

I've really not been following much of what's happening; but has an HD release of the Unaltered OT been put back on the table? More than anything I hoped new leadership would be wrestling the original (good) films away from George :lol

I got worried after seeing all the bent cannons and got mine back out. It is perfectly straight and there are no blemishes. I got lucky maybe. I still don't think its worth the retail, but I want it so I'll suck it up.

:exactly::goodpost:

A New Hope now has a double meaning for me too. :hi5:

I'm as much a fan of the OT as the next guy. But I'm still disappointed
about the cancelation of the 3D prequels. I was looking forward to ROTS in 3D. :(

I saw about ten minutes of AOTC in 3D at CVI and it was damn good looking. Because they were shot digitally, they had an easier time doing the 3D convesion. I'm a little sad these have been pushed back.

Waller, I'm hearing they're more than pushed back. They are postponed "indefinitely". Which means they may never see the light of day aside from possible Blu-ray 3D release (in which case a distribution deal would still need to be struck between Disney and Fox, because these are Fox films until at least 2020). Also, ANH (which was next) is owned by Fox in perpetuity and that was going to get messy. I'm pretty sure
Disney and Kennedy just wanted to walk away from all of it and focus on the new films. And I think that's the right call.

They just don't want to waste any time, effort or money marketing those when its time to move forward with the franchise. Lucasfilm now has better things to do.

OK call me dumb but who is Dock from the PT?
:dunno
Damn autocorrect!! :lol

I think he meant Duck.
:rotfl

Maybe typo or autocorrect changed Dooku to Duck.
:lecture

My list is a little smaller now:

- Jawa
- Walrus Man
- Snaggletooth
- Tie-Fighter Pilot
- Boba Fett (ROTJ)
- Admiral Ackbar
- Scout Trooper
- Royal Guard

Agreed on leaving humans, Droids and Chewie to HT. :lecture

I also still want a 1:6 Landspeeder :tap

I forgot about the Royal Guards and Scout Troopers!! :panic:

TPM was a joke in 3d.

Really? 'cuz I wasn't laughing...
Lucas probably was though...
