Waller, I'm hearing they're more than pushed back. They are postponed "indefinitely". Which means they may never see the light of day aside from possible Blu-ray 3D release (in which case a distribution deal would still need to be struck between Disney and Fox, because these are Fox films until at least 2020). Also, ANH (which was next) is owned by Fox in perpetuity and that was going to get messy. I'm pretty sure
Disney and Kennedy just wanted to walk away from all of it and focus on the new films. And I think that's the right call.

The last two would've been fun to see in 3D (I skipped TPM), but I won't lose any sleep over it. I agree with you that they made the right decision. Episode VII needs to wow us like ANH did. If they have another TPM out of the gate...

Oh, another TPM would cripple the franchise for good. But I'm pretty confident we'll avoid that with this new regime.

I've kind of reached critical mass burn-out on Star Wars... I'm glad they pulled the 3-D versions because I would be tempted to see them for the technology... but I'd like a nice couple years of nothing new and just the anticipation of what may be to come.

I don't think that's possible. I mean even if it IS the same quality as TPM I think we'll all be too numb to notice.

I don't even care if it won't be as good as the OT. I just want the series to return to some degree of respectability even if that means three "pretty good" sequels to diminish the horrid 50% share possessed by the prequels.

I think I've come to realize that Star Wars - OT - was a creation of a very unique time/place and a very unique set of talents (Lucas being the core of that group, but still only one of that special group.) I'm sure the Disney SW films will be way better than the Prequels, but I just don't think "it" will happen again. It's also pretty fair to say - how can you top the story of Luke vs. Vader?

Most likely its just an omission on the Newsletter . If it wre delayed after sending out notices they would have sent out another notice advising us of the delay .

Pretty sure come 02/11/2013 that our cards will be charged and figures shipping out later that week.
