Here is mine with the e web cannon and my old snow trooper custom. The custom is on the left.

Dammit you guys! I was trying to play it all cool and conservative and hold off on the cannon for awhile, but the more I see how nice it looks with the snowie, the more I want it!

My snowie is due here on Tuesday, we still gots lotsa snow, he may have to take a little trip outside?

Got my trooper in last week and love the thing, no complaints from me at all! Just really love the overal look and weathering on this thing. Bring on Biker Scout now SSC so we can complete the main OT trooper collection.

Funny thing is, one of my friends at work (who happens to be a hot younger girl) saw the box on my desk and was like "what's that?". I kinda tried to blow her off "ahh it's just another one of my geeky toys, you know". But she kept pushing so I let her open the shipper and check it out. Then she busts out the "well I guess I'm a geek too then cause I love it"

Boots hands, they are all good just wasn't expecting it, the boots are 2 parts too which is a nice touch

Just got mine this morning.
Mixed bag. Some good, some poor elements IMO.
But he still looks great on display once you get him out of the box.

The Good:
Armour is great, glossy and cool looking. Yeah, the eyes could be better but over all it feels right.

The fabric sections of the costume are very well done and nicely weathered. I like the fact they used different fabrics throughout including the fake suede for the skirt.

Weathering overall is pretty good.

The Poor:
The hands, what were they thinking? they look ridiculously big in hand. I had read some reaction about the size of them on here, but thought they looked fine in the pics posted, but when I opened the box I was shocked about how huge they are. The legs also have a chunky hasbro look to them, but I think thats fixable.

The mask, it's ok, but gives him a "face" with the sculpted folds etc.
And if you have more than one it kills the illusion. I love the blank faceless look of the ST in Empire so it's something I will be changing.

And there is a worrying amount of rubber on this figure. Overall, pretty good, and it contains all the components to mod a kick-*** Snowie.

My review after a few hours in hand


I really like this guy the armour fits really well and I like the connection system fo the backpack, though they disconnect a little to easy. In general it has the right look and feel for me anyway of the troopers in the movie, the hands are a tad large though I can deal with that and put it own to thermal wear (in my head).

The boots work really well and th 2 part system works well and isn't visible, joints are all good and it can hold the rifle up position well ESP in the left hand grip, the face mask I think works really well but if you hav more then one it would have been nice to have swap out options with different creases, what really stands out is the mix of materials, and i think ssc got it righ here, the skirt is easy to shape and the figure is nicely weathered, I think ssc learnt the lesson from the storm troopers and this guy is nice and shiny....

Overall I'm rating this fella an 8/10 and I'm willing to say this is the best trooper figure to date from sideshow and if the future scout release is up to this standard I'll be we'll pleased
