Wow what a difference some weathering makes! Looks superb now

Finished a wee bit more weathering one more coat of dirt and grime still to come.

Has any one come up with any good ideas for attaching the hands to the body yet... I might try magnets.

HUmm I must be able to think of a simple way that allows lots of movement...

It allows movement cos i only glue the peg.

He looks amazing mate the weathering has really toned down the brighter yellow and has given him a real hardened battle look.

And for the hands I just drill into the hands and then superglue the peg and still gives the hand great movement.

COOOOL thats sorted then I will glue a peg to the hand ... the only one I still have to figure out is where I have used an ACI body as I dont think you can remove the wrist peg from the body

The final wash has dried on the Imperial Tweetie Pie!! He is now a dirty bird

But i am not to sure about the head now.... think I will wait until the second head has shrunk and see what that looks like... gotta do the backpack next... I managed to get two casts from the side jets before it failed

Yeah I think the head is missing something...How about an eye patch Odin style? By and large I like the head as he looks like a grizzled war vet.

Yah I love the sculpt but it may not be right for this... Well I glued the pin in and painted up the wrists and forearms..

Just realised that there are now over 500 pics of the marines

I want to do a montage of every ones finished marines

That is looking a beast now. That yellow has grown on me no end. Inspired choice of colour. I think it really compliments the big blue...

I dont no if i,ve missed it somewhere Dorgmal is there a tutorial for shrinking the heads,i would love to know the procedure for doing so

well shrinking stuff is exact science if done properly there are very specific ratios of silicon to mineral spirit or you can get uneven shrinkage....

But I am a wee bit more gun hooo!! I basically mix my resin.. and and tip some white spirits in I am a proper butcher. the Mould can take 3 or 4 weeks to shrink... There is a tutorial someone sent me a link to ages ago but I am sure I can find it if I look my friend.

Made the rest of the backpack and tried to create some texture on it as I want it to look like a blast mark on the back and maybe a we dram of rust or something... looks pants at the moment but I can see past it... I hope

I cant wait to get this one together

hahha yes that my Predinator!! I had a loose head and a loose body so it just had to happen
I would love to get a older Pred and do a body swap, I think Pred 1 or the Guardian... but the prices are sooooo insane I cant see it ever happening.... I also want to get an Alien but have no idea which is the best one to get?

I decided to put a plate on each part for the magnets to go on... much easier and I was getting some shoulder pad chaf___e before!

This backpack is looking quite rough which is fine as it will be as grubby and beaten up as the marine I hope

For the ACI hands drill the hole bigger and use milliputt

As for a HT's alien get an AVP 1 as the aliens 1 rots badly. I have 2 AVP ones both if which i repainted (1 was the brown edition) and 1 i got from a swap was split so i used hotglue to stitch it and refom some of the shape, and made him a missing leg ligament.

Ahh cool so I need to look for a AVP Aliens.. yeah?

I have a wee list of figures that I am aiming for and and Alien is one. I wanted to get a Pred but I can not justify the £300+ price tag

Ow does any one know where I can find a 1:6 Leather Nazis officer suit?
