1/6 Star Ace - Underworld Evolution - Selene Collectible Figure

Previously this was the only other licensed Selene figure in existence.

Fast forward to the announcement that Star Ace had aquired the licence and I would finally get my Selene figure, my grail of grails. You can imagine how disappointed I am that she seems to be the worst Star Ace figure to date. I know it's just a toy but I'm legitimately crushed.

I actually still have the whole wave MIB. Big fan since the firsts release and especially love the mythos. Once I started collecting 1/6 about 4 years ago, a Selene would be my ultimate Grail like you.

Fast forward about a year into collecting, I managed to acquire a great custom by Gipetto0812 here on the boards. Was extremely happy with it but due to this upcoming release in its promising early stages and a need for some quick cash, I sadly sold her. Hoping this would be a great release or atleast a good base for a custom.

Although the price is a big turn off for this release, the final product def doesn't help. So I'm obviously bummed out like everyone else, but I still have hope in hand pics from a good camera and lighting, will promote this as atleast a passable release. If not, let's hope someone offers a sculpt we deserve!

That looks less like Kate then yesterday's in hand pics...wtf is going on? Oh and that gloppy hair, I see the mold line again. Looks like they went with the version after she drank from Corvinus. She's been baking in the sun.

In the pic I posted the pants kinda look shiny, sure it's not latex but at least they shine a bit.

The bridge of the nose is way, way too wide. Overall the head reminds me of something you'd make in the character creation of a BioWare game, where it always seems impossible to get the proportions of the facial features to look natural.

well a sure shot pass. it hurts though sob sob. As a company they need to understand one simple fact: organizations spend millions to get first hand customer data and capture feedback to create improvements to their products. all they needed was a half hearted rep to just come, sit and observe this thread. That alone would help them create a great release.

what they did... hammered a pretty girl and created a "swollen selene" with an outfit thats not accurate and more importantly for 250 bucks.
