I don't care if its kg or a one man company or whatever.
They have mulptiple times said lies and missed their targeted release.
After the 1st year they didn't release the figure, I was even supporting them asking people to have patience!
Now its almost 2,5 years!!! I will say it again 2,5 YEARS!!!
They still haven't produced the figure, nor its guaranteed its ever going to happen.
To me it matters cause I didn't order the blackbox K figure and now if supermad doesn't produce theirs,
I don't know if I will be able to find and buy blackbox's k at a decent price.

I agree. Patience is often required in this hobby, however this is ridiculous. We should make an offensive and make it known to them.

If they continue to hear nothing, then it just continues as it is. They need to feel some pressure !

Maybe someone closer to this can suggest the best way for us to let them know we are not happy. Facebook, email ??? Needs to be a bit of a coordinated effort I think. Perhaps on a certain date like this Sunday ?

I've willingly cut them plenty of slack because in my mind, they have earned it. I've gotten both their Bionic Man and Agent D, both very behind on schedule, but both great figures in the end. It's a very small company willing to do a figure no one was ever going to do (the Bionic Man), and they did a great job considering they are just a small bootleg operation. I can see they do put effort into showing their progress with intermittent FB posts, and I do trust them to come through in the end, as opposed to that company who did the John Lennon figure.

It's yall's prerogative to be annoyed and choose not to pre-order next time, or cancel your orders. It's definitely a little unnerving when Supermad seems to take twice as long as say, HT or Sideshow. But I have nowhere to be (especially now!), so I just put my pre-order in and forget it til the figure comes. They only take a small deposit, so it's not like they have all my money. Plus they are pretty cheap figures too. So for me the wait is fine.

I don't have K on order, but I do have a new Bionic Man on order that they are putting out, so I'm in the waiting game as well.

Yeah that's where I'm at too. It's been a frustratingly long wait and there have been way too many delays, but ultimately this is still a small third party company we're talking about. And are the only real option out there for figures like this, unless you want to pay $400+ for a custom.

That’s the right approach! Who cares the time it takes? It’s not as if a virus was going to wipe us all out!

... eeeer, okay, maybe it is, but I trust them completely to deliver something good in the end!

Ok then lets wait another 10 years, no big deal.
They 've said about sending preorders on June, I don't care if this is happening,
because Hong Kong Post is affected by the virus and retailers cannot send packages,
but if by June I don't see any photos of the FINAL FULL figure and not appetizer photos
and stupid excuses/accidents/mishaps on fb,
I will be cancelling my preoorder and will be hunting down a blackbox figure,
if I remember correctly they made a 2.0 version also, fts.
I want a k in my collection, not lies to my face over & over again.

In the past when they were posting news about k on their fb page
at a certaiin point people were accusing them of waiting too long
and continuously missing deadlines they themselves promised again & again,
they blocked accounts and never responded on these posts.
They also wrote they were never going to reply on such posts again.
They had the nerve though to mock balckbox's effort in public,
the sad true is they are the joke.
If somone visits their fb page they can see themselves.

I will say, credit where credit is due: The prototype, at least, for Supermad?s K had a really nice sweater and coat so if there isn?t too much of a drop in quality it?ll certainly be worth the price, if not the wait.

i?m still going to write an email if I can find one.

It's not like I want to threaten to burn down his house. He just needs to be informed a 2,5 year wait is not ok.

Sometimes in life people need to be confronted.

Just a question: You’re a young guy Hoody, right? I see a lot of impatience in you young Paddawan! With age comes patience. Too much impatience might make you fall into the Dark Side of the Force and join the HT clan! Very, very dangerous!

I ordered the Eighth Doctor from Big Chief three years ago tomorrow, it showed up a month ago. Delays happen. It looked like Supermad had a total of ten employees working in a video of their factory they posted a long time ago. If the figure shows up and is good quality I can always handle a delay. It seems the headsculpt are what primarily hold this crew up. A lot of the time they will post pictures from production and the bodies are clothed and waiting for sculpts long before their figures release. SooSoo Toys had a slow start like this and they have gotten faster with each subsequent figure I hope Supermad get on track like they did because their choice in figures to make has been cool so far. I bought the Six Million Dollar Man figure they made and I considered it a steal for the price. I have a feeling I will consider this one in the same regards when it gets here. Even Hot Toys has figures long overdue and their the powerhouse of the 1/6 industry.

Well if 45 is young i?ll take it.

don?t get me wrong, i?m patient enough to wait. I know we're all concerned that if they "rush it" (that's irony) they may reduce their quality . But when delay after delay comes then sometimes people need a kick up the axxx for their own good.

Yes I'll give them a few months grace due to the covid situation but it should have already shipped to be honest. My Chinese colleagues are all back at work now btw.

2,5 years is a long time, not sure if I call that impatient either by the way.

Sure we can sit around and say nothing, Then they interpret delays as acceptable cause no one says anything. So the next delay seems ok to them, then the next.

I make my own customs and have a good idea what it takes. If you're not in the position to do what you set out to do then don't do it.

I'm feeling a bit like Simon Cowell here. The only one wanting to tell it as it is.

But it's all ok. Like I said I just think they need to know. Positive and negative feedback is what companies need to get to become better.

I know I won't be in the minority in thinking twice before ordering any future figures figure from them. Is that good for their company ??

I can't imagine why they would purposely delay, it wouldn't make any economic sense to do so. I also pre ordered this 2 years ago.....but I only paid a deposit, as I suspect most do. If they want full payment, they need to release the figure to get it surely?

They are a small operation, and I think that is the reason for the long production time, adding the carnage of covid19 on top really didn't help.

But, I'm certain it'll be on it's way fairly shortly. I imagine we will get the final production pictures over the next month or so. I can wait.

Ironically, many would argue that you need a bucket load of patience to sit through BR2049 and enjoy it (I am not one of those people, I love it), so you would assume, by nature, that anyone buying this figure could handle a slow paced, long running time

:wink1:

I think your view is perfectly valid... and I'm older than you. :lol

But, there aren't too many alternatives for BR figures... so it's wait, give up, or go down the custom route, unfortunately.

I'm in the "It comes when it comes" boat. I pre-ordered K and have been annoyed by the wait but then jumped on Hunter D when it was in stock and that was a more pleasant experience. That's the way to go with any future Supermad figure.

Yeah unfortunately the only way to stay on top of these figure announcements is through FB, since that's what all these companies use. And honestly it's the only thing I ever use the site for nowadays.

I mean, cancel your order seems like the answer to the problem.......

I waited almost 4 years for a statue.....
