Did I mention that he also came with a messed-up nameplate?

The wraparound plastic that holds it together, yes. There's no separate film on the plaque itself -- that was my first thought and hope, but I don't think they've had that for a while.

Are you sure it wasn't a return they sent you?. I have never received a new star wars figure that didn't have the plastic film on the name plate.

My nameplate was similar. The figure was sealed, obviously new. Unlike all other HT figure stands I’ve received, there wasn’t a piece of plastic film covering just the nameplate.

I don't remember seeing film on any of the Mandalorian-series figures with this nameplate style that I've gotten. It's possible that I've just mindlessly removed them without thinking about it, but I'm really not sure they still have it.

Interesting. I don’t use stock stands so it’s been a while since I’ve checked for plastic film over the plaques. Those pics look just like a bubbled protective film. I wonder when HT quit doing that.

Sideshow are selling alot of returns from what I am seeing in collecting groups. Lucky I dontt buy from them

Well people return figures for all kinds of nonsense so of course sideshow will sell those figures if there is nothing wrong with them.
An opened figure is still an opened figure regardless of the reason for returning it. Selling it as a new and unopened figure without letting customers know would be considered shady. It is when selling on forums and such.

I disagree. I certainly wouldn't want to pay the cost if a retailer is forced to mark down all these returns their generous return policy allows. That would have to jack the prices up to cover those loans. I have seen people returning figures for no reason than they changed their minds.

I'm very certain mine wasn't a return, at any rate. Just bad QC. I've requested replacement parts on the website.

Someone can open theyre figure and lick it or do much worse andd send it back.. Actualy I hear someone actualy did this just because. Then sideshow sells it as new to a paying customer. The things people do man....

I did communicate the issue with the unmade relaxed hands to Sideshow when I made my parts replacement request -- it sounds like they'll be pulling the gallery pics that show them. Between this and Mythos Obi-Wan, I'm starting to feel like the photo killer.
