Idk where you guys got the idea of the neck being shiny. Looks fine to me. And I bet in hand it won't be an issue.

The neck looks fine in those pics, as does the rest of the figure. Weird elbow bend in that last pic though. I think they bent the wrong elbow joint there.

Telling you guys, lowered neck will balance out the likeness too. Hardy's stocky. When you see him with the scarf on he nearly has no neck showing.

The video shows that Art Figures was pretty accurate to the real thing, whereas the shiny pleather of the VTS owes more to Mel Gibson's original outfit.

I think I'm going to have mixed feelings when my two VTS sets arrive. Would probably have been better off with two AF and one VTS.

What I will probably do is put the Art Figures outfit and gear onto one of the VTS bodies with the VTS head.

Have one VTS as intended out of the box.

And put the second VTS set onto a ZC muscle body and await the Brother Production sculpt.

It's going to take some really heavy weathering. With cloth you can use powder to make clothes look caked in dirt and dust, but with pleather I suppose it will have to be an application acrylic paint.

you can weather the VTS outfit... there's nothing you can do about the giant zipper teeth on the arts outfit.

arts outfit doesn't even have the studs/buttons on the shoulder.

You can buy a thousand of those nail art studs on Ebay for about 99p delivered from China.

I keep meaning to get some of the shaped ones that were missing on my grey HT Terminator jacket.

even tho the look of the arts outfit is closer to dusty look of movie outfit the fact its not pleather bothers me but am curious what it would be like with vts sculpt.

Art Figures costume set is my perfect choice. I don't mind the zipper teeth at all. Even if I didn't like it, I could just buy a micro zipper set for 1/6 figures and replace the Arts one with some tailoring skill. The buttons on collar are easy addons, using loose small pouches from military figures. As for weathering I would not try to weather the pleather outfit 'cause it only shortens the deterioration process. There's a reason why HT suggests not to add any paint or chemical onto leather/pleather materials.

Oh yeah? Well you could easily just get either figure, throw it away, hand sew a costume, make the armor, sculpt a head and paint it all! I don't know why you guys are bothering with buying these at all!

the movie outfit was just covered in more dust compared to the vts but was leather correct? so i cant not be bothered by the non-pleather pajama art ver. may get but having the VTS was a must for me.

That's the thing this isn't a HT figure. So I don't imagine vts outfit would break down easily. But it really doesn't matter what version you pick if it's the AF or Vts. We finally got a 1/6th mad max. It's been a long time sence it was announced we can all be glad for that. Lol
