Looks great! I was a bit worried on how the hood would look on his hump. The proto pics didnt look that nive IMHO. But your shots are great!

I forgot to mention, it is a scarf, not a hood.

Edit - And another shot of Momaw

If he is not a must have for you I would wait for a GoHastings sale. I don't think this fig will be as popular as the more main characters and there should not be any risk in waiting while the payoff is most likely guaranteed in waiting for a sale.

Otherwise, Alter Ego Comics has great prices!

I'm sure Hastings will offer a better price, but I kind of want this now...plus there's a lot of what-ifs with hastings. I got lucky twice with them -- good price, good packaging -- but my number's up soon I'm sure from what I've heard.

I'll go with AE, thanks!

does the sculpting go all the way up the arms?.............

No. Just to the elbow joint (the upper arm has been shortened a little), and to the knee.

Edit - Also, if you look closely at the wrist in the picture in post 637, you will see that the the articulation in the wrist has been slightly limited. You can still bend the back and forth very well, but you can't twist the hand a quarter of a turn to get the up and down bend like the regular wrists on the Pros.

No big deal, though.

Can't wait for Hammer Head. Aliens Rock.

How is the tightness of the body. Everything nice and snug?

My Kenner Hammerhead was my second favorite figure directly behind Chewbacca. I named him Ton-Ru. He was as strong as Chewie and they were best friends. Han Solo...went solo.

Sideshow has done all kinds of coolness to my love for this figure.

I have figures on Pros with tighter joints...but these are plenty tight enough. No issues at all.

Edit - Even with the overbalanced head, I do not anticipate any shelf diving from Momaw.

One another interesting note...he seems to have some sort of sandbag or beanbag under his costume to shape the hump in his back. I may try to dis-robe him later.

Edit - LOL...And I just noticed...ratchet knees. Sorry for those who don't like them, I do.

That is great news indeed. My Gorillas used to shelf dive all the time and break their legs alot. :monkey4

I plan to pose Hammer him with his staff. I'm curious, does he come with the new HT crotch style base stand or the old SideShow wrap around the waist style? Thanks.

That is a good question, it is in the box at home and I never pay attention to the stands as I do not use them...even on loose-joint figures.

But here is a pic of Momaw broken down. You can see the bean bags on his black bodysuit. The upper pro arms are not shortened as I thought they were.

I put his lower legs back on for the picture.

Sorry the pic is out of focus. I was rushing.

You guys are killing me. Sorry for the horrible misspelling and poor grammar but I have a horrible cold right now.

I thought I read somewhere that SS was replacing their old wrap around the waist style bases with the likes of HT's under the crotch style.

Great Shot there DC. Can you pop the forearms off too or are the firmly attached?

Jesus, Darth -- that's a great pic but do you rip apart all your figures like that?

Meesa scared.

LOL...yes i do. For three reasons.

1) For detailed reviews (have been idle at that for a looooooooooong time. But I will get back in to it)

2) To check for any damage when they arrive.

3) I like to get familiar with everything that can be done with them in terms of how they can be outfitted/equipped for display and I futz them to the way I want them when I put the costumes back on as nicely as I can because many times, they are not done well at the factory (this was NOT the case with Momaw, however).

As bad as it looks, I really just undressed him.

The forearms will pop off just as easily as the lower legs. The Pros are good for those joints being easily taken apart. And the elbows and knees are a normal Pro elbow joint. The ankles are a slight modification, obviously, having a much longer peg to hold the foot and lower leg together.
