Congrats on BF's arrival! I know exactly what you're talking about in regards to the area between the bottom of the vest and top of the cod piece. That was one of the things on my list when my Fett goes under the knife for round two this weekend. I'm gonna be more thorough this time and also take pics as I go for the BF mod thread. Good luck on your mods! :duff

Thanks Naz! Good luck to you too!

Yes I use a glue gun, the glue is hot and it heats up the plastic. Once its on the plastic bend it and run the armor under cold water to set it.

Sounds like a potentially huge mess. How would one avoid getting said hot glue from on their fingers or the suit? I think a hair dryer and water is a much safer way of getting the same results with less risk, but thanks for sharing.

I took my belly plate off, and yes it can get messy, but it just takes a little bit of hot glue to heat up the plastic.

Well, apparently mine won't be shipped out from AE until Monday or Tuesday. They actually go in order of your order.

Sucks, means I won't get this until Monday of the following week for sure now.

I'll have to remember this before ordering again from them.

Pretty sure I ordered from them just about as soon as it went up for PO...

Got mine this afternoon! Shipped on Monday and delivered on Friday, not bad for International delivery.

Want to do a gloss clear coat over the visor, but it doesn't look removable despite being a separate mold piece.

First impressions are that the green on the armor plate is still a tad light for my personal preference, but it looks better when under low lighting conditions. And the orange on the base is so dull!

The gauntlets look great though, and the wired drape is awesome. I'll let his Clone Buddies give him a bit of a make-over before I take some proper pics though.

Feeling a bit jealous over here. I'm tempted to just order from Sideshow but resisting and waiting for the UK release (sometime in late July, or August) to avoid the P & P, which would probably be quite pricey.

I wasn't used to Sideshow plastic, and when I bent the ab plate I got a little stress mark on the left side. Honestly, it blends in with the different shades of green on the armor and isn't noticeable at all. But now I'm done futzing, and am super happy with Fett.

Just broght mine home. :yess: I'll do a more thorough review and a before and after look with the futzing. Honestly, I don't know if I just got lucky but the vest on mine (atleast how it looks in the box) doesn't look as boxy as I have seen on here. Either way, I will fix it and post pics soon.

Seen a few pics of the Medi Vs. SSC now, but does anyone have the Marmit Fett to post side-by-side pics with?

The centerpiece of any rendition of Boba Fett is always the helmet, and the overall accuracy with SideShow’s version is, in my opinion, lacking. The screen-used Star Wars helmets are notoriously asymmetrical, from Darth Vader to Stormtroopers to, of course, Boba Fett. SideShow’s Fett helmet, like many interpretations in this or any scale, is just a bit ‘off’. Serious Boba Fett fans will spot it immediately. It’s not that it’s terrible, but for some reason, it just doesn’t look quite right. When compared to screen shots or pictures of the actual helmet, the differences are quite noticeable. Even more perplexing is that from certain angles (most notably straight-on, with the chin tucked to the chest), the helmet looks quite good, yet from others, it’s poor (especially from a three-quarter angle).

I don't quite understand what's off - can you explain a bit more, or post a pic to show what you mean?

Next Thursday!!!!!!!!! :panic:

Seriously...how does Alteregocomics which is located in OHIO....get their stock and ship out BEFORE Cornerstorecomics which is located in CA, practically RIGHT NEXT TO SIDESHOW??? SERIOUSLY. How the hell does that work?

Have you tried calling CSC and asking them when they are expecting to get their shipment? That is strange that it's taking them so long to receive them.

modern logistics:dunno?

Explain how that is modern logistics? :lol

I called on Weds, and the lady said They arent sure when they are getting him, she said maybe in a week or two....WHAT? WHY??? They blamed SDCC for the delay in shipping...Not sure what SDCC has to do with the shipping schedule...but :gah:
