Best bet is to airbrush with some Tamiya acrylics.

Here is the complete paintmaster guide from thedentedhelmet:

Helmet (Empire version)
* German Field Gray or Panzer Olive Green (Cheeks and dome) court is out on this one but GFG is a very old Floquil and was produced back in the day but not now so you'll have to buy it from Tamiya.
* Caboose (not caboose red) (mandibles) * Reefer Yellow Vertical stripes (update) also the look of this strictly dependent on heavily applied it is and don't apply heavily on frontal stripes
* Reefer Gray update (Gray around scratches)
* Rust (various locations)
* Chrome (scratches) I think this was actually a color called bright silver but this works best.
* Main color back of helmet- RLM73
* Back of helmet scratches- Concrete
* Earth Enamel(Rangefinder ear) I hate this paint.
* POG Green Update!(Left ear)
* PRR Green(I like weathered black better) (Inside cheeks) this is practically black.
* Caboose (Red scratches on left ear).
* Light Gray (on left ear) any light gray will do.
* PRR Maroon for the dark color on mands may need to darken this color with a touch of black. I know the original color but Floquil hasn't made the color for almost 20 years so it's very very hard to find and this will do trust me.

Ah, OK, yeah, too much of a newbie for that. Maybe if some kind soul on the boards decides to offer the service, I may take advantage of that. Thanks for the info, though (including specifically which paints). Just don't have any experience or equipment for air brushing.

Got Fett today and after no less than 2 hours of futzing, modding and futzing some more. This is where I am. I am still not happy with upper chest (neck armor). Overall though, I am very happy I got him. He is by no means perfect, but with a bit of work looks really nice. The Wookie braids were not bad at all to me, just the vest and chest armor.

Armor looks great here qbomb! What all did you do to it?

Thanks Billy Ray. I heated and curved the abdomen armor pieces and pulled the back of the vest very snug ( it actually overlaps in the back quite a bit). I re-secured the vest with thin strips of Velcro. I had to widen the holes that are cut in the back of the vest so I could re-screw in the back armor and attach the jetpack. I also tightened the belts much tighter as they are way oversized.... It was a pretty simple doing all of that, what took the most time was futzing the gauntlets and switching out the hands:slap.

Hey folks I received mine yesterday. Love the figure. I did my best to improve the vest/armor. I too had a poblem w/the upper armor portion of the vest. But I am not going to try to fix it. I also tightened the vest w/the velcro and as well as the screws on the back portion.

Ok I took some craptacular pics of Fett minus his jetpack w/Vader. (heck it must weigh a ton and has to take it off from time to time:wink1:)

I call this "A job well done." A brief summary; Fett was the one who informed Vader of transmissions that were "beamed" to Leia Organa's ship from rebel spies. His reward were credits but also Vader gave Fett as a bonus Mace Windu's de-actived lightsaber. No questions asked where or how Vader obtained it.

I had too much time on my hands guys....:thud::lol

Nice job, qbomb71! One small thing: I think his velcro straps on his ankles are going the wrong way. If you wind them in the opposite direction, the color of the fabric should be darker and not white how you see them now.

Thanks Mad Old Lu. It's the light from the stand making them appear white. They are the same color gray as the pants in hand. If I wound them the other direction the velcro would be facing inward and not outward so it can adhere to the end. I noticed how white they appeared in the pics and had to check it for myself also.
