So I went and put it back together just to see if the visor resculpting looks good. I think it's an improvement. Happy with it. Now to paint!

i think maybe you could try and get rid of the little curve the visor has,it should be straight !worth a try:dunno

Well I would but it's not that destracting to me, and if I did that I also had to resculpt the visor itself, or else it wouldnt fit anymore.

This was a really easy fix, but what you're suggesting is much harder. :)

Curve of the visie, shouild be morre straight lines. Ss really dropped the ball imo. Disnt even bother to sculpt the triangles above his visor. Rwally ccheap for a 150+ figure. Medi is better.

Yeah, several promo pics of when he's escorting the carbon block his knee pads are reversed! Good continuity people on that movie...

In looking over some screen reference on this guy, the knee armor is nuts - in the Carbon Freeze Chamber, they are upside down, in the hallway walking with carbon block, they are reversed (darts on the inside.) He's only on screen in a few scenes, and they messed up the costume in quite a few of them. Makes you wonder what "screen accurate" means.

What happened to the left side of the visor? Did you try to resculpt the edge?

Yea you said it. Someone else was asking where is the correct placement for his tools on his legs too. Some put his knife in the right pocket others the left. I attached some pics to hopefully clear it up. The only time he had the knife in the left leg pocket is the Carbon Freeze chamber. There his armor knee pads are upside down. All the other places in the movie the knife goes in the right side pants leg. Hope that helps people. If you look at the shooting Luke pic he is wearing two right leg knee armors. Now I know why they used so much steam in the carbon freeze chamber. To cover up the mistakes. HA HA!

Not so sure I agree with you on that one. Remember Medicom was 150 also and didn't come with all the hands and light up base that Sideshows does. Here is a pic to compare. In my opinion Sideshows green colors are more off but over all detail is better. Medicom is great but I think over all Sideshow is the best Fett so far.

Love this, very helpful.

So the thing you are calling "the knife" is the gold 'tool'?

So I guess this teaches us that no matter how you display him, he is screen accurate at least one point on film. :lol

Medicom's chest armor is definatly better. But SS not sculpting the triangles, not getting the helmet shape right, not getting the colorS right (the chest is inaccurate as it gets) 5(!) years after Medicom, that's insane.

Although I do beleive Medicom was way overpriced at the time, now for the same money he's still available, hasn't inflated in price. And I think SS just didn't trump him like I expected. They just didn't. Sure in accesoires they beat it, but purely the figure, no. Paint apps might be better, but colors are just as important IMO, if not more so.

You make some great points and I see where you are coming. It's all preference when it comes down too it. But don't forget Medicoms figure has it's major problems too. The Jet pack sits way too high, the shoulder armor is way to high. The helmet shape is also not right and it got the right side ear color wrong it's gold not green. The overall green color is off (sideshows is worse). The helmet antenna is a bit short. The chest armor is spaced too far apart too. The detail in the forearm gantlets just is not as nice as sideshows. But the biggest problem most people had was the scale of the figure. Thou that really didn't bother me a ton. They both have there issues that's for sure I just think Medicom has more problems than Sideshows. For the price thou your right it would be nice to have a perfect figure. Hopefully future Fetts (Hot Toys) will be more movie accurate. But I have a feeling when that happens the price will be higher and hopefully the quality.

You guys can say what you want on this.....but....

The SS version, although detailed and nice, has much more of a doll (toy) look than the newest ROTJ medi which has a more scaled model feel to it.

I'm not biased toward either manufacturer.

Both look like toys to me.
